Your POV
The day was ending, and I was packing my things, ready to leave, when someone grabbed my shoulder. “We still have some unfinished business, ISN’T THAT RIGHT!” he yelled. “Bakugou, chill. You don’t need to yell when I’m right here,” I said, trying to keep my voice level. “Tch. Just hurry the hell up and fight me!” he complained, hands clenched. I managed a smile. “Oh wait, didn’t you say you wanted to fight at the beach? Plus there’s no fighting on school grounds.” I said, a mischievous edge to my tone. “Whoever gets there first throws the first punch!” he spat, anger simmering in his eyes. “Okay, but no quirks. We’ll save that for the beach,” I said and started running, a small grin playing on my lips.
We were neck and neck, but my stamina surpassed his. He was pushing his limits, and I knew it. “HA, I BEAT YOUR SORRY ASS FOR ONCE. That means I get the first punch, but give me a reason to throw it.” I said, breathlessly. “A damn reason… A REASON TO PUNCH ME! Like hell you cow! You probably won’t even be able to hit me, you bitch.” He roared, frustration boiling over. Just like that, my eyes flared red with rage, and my fist connected with his face. They had been E/C eyes moments before, now burning with crimson hatred. Anger fuels me, it always has. “Fuck…ALRIGHT, BACK AT YOU!” he yelled, and he punched me in the stomach. I dodged, but his foot swept my face. The crackle of his quirk resonated. I was enraged, but then I looked towards the ocean, watching the sunset paint the sky with fire. My eyes widened, and panic seized me. “Shit… SHIT SHIT SHIT. I have to leave. You win.” I said, and began to run, desperation driving me forward. “HEY, I’M NOT DONE YET. I refuse to win over a quitter like you!” He yelled, chasing after me.
I glanced back at him, sincerity etched on my face. “Bakugou… I have to go.”
Bakugou’s POV
“Katsuki… I have to go.” She said, her voice different, laced with something I hadn’t heard before. I stared, unsure how to respond. Tears welled in her eyes, and fear radiated from her. I must have pushed her too far, scared her too much. But… something felt off. I walked home, bag slung over my shoulder, and went straight to bed.
The next morning…
I woke up to the usual routine of arguing with the old hag and heading to school. Once there, the cowgirl was nowhere to be seen. Mr. Aizawa started roll call. During break time, Float Girl approached me. “Bakugou, where’s f/n? How bad was the fight?” she demanded, anger flaring in her voice. “You mean the cow bitch? How would I know? I won, and she chickened out. We landed one hit on each other, then she ran off. I don’t care what happened to her, she was whining about it.” I snapped. Just then, the door opened, and there she was, hood pulled low. “Sorry I’m late…” she said quietly. “f/n, please take your seat quickly. No hoods in class.” The teacher said sternly. She hesitated, then removed the hood. What I saw shocked everyone. Float Girl stared at her, then at me. The girl I’d fought the other day was covered in bruises and injuries…
“Bakugou! Did you do this???” Glasses demanded. “What the fuck no! I hit her once! Not ten billion times, you morons! I’m as shocked as you all are!” I defended myself, my voice laced with disbelief. “Bakugou, I’m not sure what happened, but take her to the nurse’s office. She’s obviously in pain, so take care of it.” Aizawa said, his voice firm. I wanted answers, and this was a way to get them. “Fine…” I said, getting up from my seat. She followed me. I looked inside the nurse’s office. Recovery Girl wasn’t there; she must be attending to someone else. She sat on the bed and began to break down. “I’m so pathetic… I know you don’t want to help me, so just leave.” She said, her voice barely a whisper.
I sat on a chair next to the bed. “The only bruise I could have given you is the one on your right cheek. So who the fuck gave you these other bruises?” I asked, and she began to shake. “I have a curfew time. If I’m not home by sunset, I get in trouble. I don’t live in the greatest neighborhood.” She said. “But who the fuck would mess with you? What’s the point?” I asked, frustrated. She was silent, and Recovery Girl walked in. “My dear child, what on earth happened? Bakugou, please explain.” She asked me. “It wasn’t my business. She came to school like this,” I said, avoiding her gaze. “Thank you for bringing her. I’ll handle things from here. Return to your class now.” I walked towards the door, turning back to see her face, traumatized and broken.
Your POV [TRIGGER WARNING]
Flashback…
I rushed home, terrified of his reaction. As soon as I reached the door, I fumbled with my bag for the house key and began to shake. When the door clicked, I took a deep breath and walked inside. I locked the door and turned around to see him standing there. “Where were you? You know it’s past curfew.” He said, his eyes cold as he grabbed my shirt. “I’m sorry, Dad. Is dinner ready?” I asked, trembling. “Yes, but you only get half. And call me Sir, f/n.” He said, a lustful look in his eyes. “Okay…” I said, but he activated his quirk before I could move towards the dinner table. “You should be sorry for not addressing me correctly and for being late. Also, what is this on your face, sweetie? Did you get in a fight?” he said, his voice dripping with malice. “Yes… I’m sorry.” I said, tears welling in my eyes. “Get on the ground and say, ‘I’m sorry, Sir.’”
After that… I never cried so much. He hit me seven times, one for every mistake that day. He’d done worse, but for some reason, this felt unbearable. My thoughts were interrupted by a strong voice. “Younge l/n? f/n!” The voice said, and I looked up to see All Might looking at me with concern. I cried, finally letting go of my emotions. “All Might… I’m in a situation that I need someone strong to handle this… but the risks are high…” I said, fear choking my voice. “Please, we need you to tell us everything. I’ll get the people who you trust most if it comes to that.” All Might replied, his voice gentle. “Thank you, All Might… I trust you, Recovery Girl, Mr. Aizawa, and Bakugou.” I replied quietly. Why did I say Bakugou? All Might nodded and patted me on the shoulder. “Everything will be okay because I’m here.” He smiled, his teeth gleaming. My eyes watered with gratitude.
