The girl’s cry pierced the bustling studio. “This… this was my diamond ring! My engagement ring!” she sobbed, the words tumbling out in Korean.

Taehyung retreated, resuming his rehearsals, seemingly lost in his own world.

I stepped out to answer my mother’s call, but the connection dropped before I could speak. I noticed a staff member weeping and asked what was wrong. She shrieked, “Give me my ring!” also in Korean.

Confused, I asked her to speak English, hoping for clarity.

Suddenly, the girl’s boyfriend called, his voice laced with apology. “I’m so sorry. I took your ring secretly because I couldn’t arrange a real one in time. Please understand… I’m really sorry.” He continued in Korean.

The girl’s voice cracked with disbelief. “I never thought you’d do this to me. I love you, and you lied.” She choked out a final, heartbroken message, “Never call this number again. Bye.” Her words, even through the frustration, were still in Korean.

I didn't pay much attention and went back in. I couldn't understand what was going on.

The head stylist began introducing me to BTS. “This is Kim Namjoon, known as RM, or ‘Rap Monster.’” Then came Jin and Suga.

I couldn’t resist a playful jab. “Sugae? Like sugar? Is it sweet?”

The stylist grinned. “Yeah, sweet!”

J-Hope stepped forward, radiating energy. “I’m your hope, you are my hope. I am J-Hope.”

I simply offered a shy “Hi.”

The stylist continued, “This is Jimin and Jungkook.”

RM interrupted, his gaze fixed on me. “Who is she?”

The stylist explained, “Oh, she’s your new stylist.”

RM’s tone was sharp. “MY…?”

The stylist clarified, “Bangtan’s new stylist. She’s from South Asia, and her name is Amle.” She then turned to me. “And Amle, this is Taehyung, you can call him ‘V.’”

Taehyung, lost in thought, was jolted back to attention by the others. He murmured, “Oh, Hi,” then retreated into his own world once more.

He pulled out his phone, a troubled expression clouding his face. (Is she really a thief? If not, why are the staff blaming her?)

Jungkook turned to the lead stylist. “If she’s leaving, will she call me?”

The stylist replied, “No, not yet. I’ll keep her around until Amle learns the ropes.”

I smiled, and the stylist continued, “Oh, I forgot – you don’t know Hangul, the Korean alphabet.”

RM exclaimed, “What? Then how will we communicate…?”

The stylist explained, “I talked to PD Nim about this. He thinks it would be good for you guys to learn to talk to her. It will help you all.”

J-Hope let out a playful “Oohoooo.”

Jin offered a warm smile. “Hi, nice to meet you.”

I returned the smile.

It was October 2nd.
