I write about the places that feel like they’re holding their breath, especially those small towns where everyone knows everyone else’s story. I love how a little bit of rain or wind can change everything. I try to give my characters a history, a weight of life that settles in before they even meet the reader. Honestly, I’m happiest when there’s a storm brewing.
