I write mysteries that simmer in quiet towns, usually somewhere near the Appalachian Trail. I’m fascinated by how much a peaceful place can conceal, and I try to weave that feeling into every story. I probably spend too much time digging through local histories, but it always leads me to a new trail to explore.
