I write about small towns—the kind you pass through and maybe get a little lost in. There’s always something hidden beneath the surface, a little bit of magic, I think. I love the feeling of old diners and dusty motel rooms, and I try to bring that feeling to my stories. They tend to unfold slowly, and they’re often a little melancholy.
