I write stories about folks figuring things out, usually in places that feel both familiar and a little bit hidden. I love how a small town can feel like it's holding onto something just under the surface. My stories usually begin with a simple feeling—the scent of rain, maybe—and I just follow where they lead. I'm always fiddling with old cameras, too.
