3rd Person Perspective
The apartment was quiet, save for the soft breaths of a man waking. Taehyung stirred, the weight of Jungkook’s arm around him a comforting presence. A new label settled in his mind: “boyfriend.” It felt…right, yet unsettlingly undefined. He wanted to voice the question swirling within him, but hesitated.
“Kookie?” he murmured, testing the waters.
Jungkook didn't respond, still lost in sleep. Taehyung decided to start the day with breakfast, tiptoeing to the kitchen, determined not to disturb the younger man.
“What should I make? Ah, eggs! Kookie loves eggs!”
The thought was spoken a little too loudly, and he heard Jungkook’s sleepy footsteps padding toward the kitchen.
“Good morning, bunny!” Jungkook greeted him, eyes still heavy with sleep.
“Hi, Alien. What are you doing?”
“Making breakfast for my boy—for you.” Taehyung mentally berated himself for nearly blurting out the word. He watched Jungkook’s brow furrow in confusion.
“What was that?”
“N-Nothing. Um, the eggs will be done soon. Just go sit down.”
“You’re weird, but okay.” Jungkook chuckled, leaning against the counter as Taehyung continued cooking.
“Yah, you’d look good as a wife!” Jungkook teased, watching Taehyung's flustered reaction.
“W-What? A w-wife?” Taehyung stammered, his cheeks flushing.
“Calm down, okay? I was joking!” Jungkook quickly clarified, seeing the panic rise in Taehyung's eyes.
Taehyung stuck his tongue out playfully and returned to his task, the aroma of frying eggs filling the small kitchen.

Later, they sat on the couch, enjoying their breakfast. Taehyung finally decided to address the question that had been circling in his mind.
“Jungkook?”
“Yes?”
“What do I call you?”
“What do you mean?” Jungkook asked, tilting his head.
“Like, with this…arrangement. Are you my boyfriend or…?”
“That’s a good question,” Jungkook admitted thoughtfully. “I mean, there’s nothing in the rules that says you have to call me boyfriend.”
Relief washed over Taehyung. He hadn’t wanted to officially label things yet.
“Well, not unless I tell you to, anyway.” Jungkook added casually.
Taehyung choked on his egg. "Yah! You got egg all over the floor!"
"What do you mean unless I tell you to?" he asked, his tone softening.
"Like when we go somewhere together and I'm introducing you to someone, I want you to introduce me as your boyfriend. That's all I ask."
“Kookie, I—.”
“Tae, please? For me.” Jungkook’s eyes pleaded.
Taehyung hesitated, then nodded slowly. “F-Fine. But only because I want this to work.”
Jungkook pulled Taehyung into a tight embrace, setting his plate aside on the coffee table.
“Kookie?”
“Yes?”
“I love you.”
“Not as much as I love you.”
“Come on, Kook, you know my love for you is unexplainable!”
Jungkook leaned in and kissed Taehyung softly, a slow, sweet press of lips. It quickly escalated into a passionate, hungry kiss.
“K-Kookie ahh~.” Taehyung gasped, his breath catching in his throat.
Jungkook’s hand moved to Taehyung's bottom lip, earning a silent invitation to explore. Taehyung was letting out mild moans, and Jungkook responded with a tender touch, intent on giving his beloved pleasure.
“M-Mmm, Kookie~.”
Jungkook trailed down his neck, leaving a trail of hickeys. He worked his way down to his collarbones and grabbed the hem of his shirt.
“W-Wait, Jungkook.”
Jungkook paused, lowering his shirt slightly.
“Sorry, I got carried away.”
Jungkook got off of Taehyung and started walking to the bedroom.
“Kookie, what are you doing?”
“Getting ready.”
“Getting ready for what?”
Our First Date.
