"Let's make a deal." The words hung in the air, dripping with a threat that wasn't quite spoken.

A misunderstanding. That’s what it was. A distortion of everything he’d ever believed about her. A confusion born of unspoken confessions, and a beast – a darkness – blossoming within the most innocent part of her soul. Enough to shatter the limitless love he’d once held.

"Give yourself to me. Your body, your soul, everything and nothing will happen to him."

The words tasted like ash in her mouth. "Y-You are forcing me."

He didn't deny it. "Come on, baby. You'll always be mine to devour, mine to destroy, mine to taste."

BTS Mansion. Later.

"Stop drinking, hyung, it's not good for your health." Jungkook snatched the whiskey glass from Jimin's lips. He didn't stop there. He grabbed the bottle, tilting it back until the amber liquid burned down his throat.

"Leave him, Jungkook. He's hurting. Sometimes losing your mind is better than facing reality." Taehyung sighed, rising to refill his own glass and Namjoon’s. Yoongi and Hoseok were nursing soju, while Seokjin was out on a date.

"Good thing Seokjin isn't here, or you'd have heard his rap scolding you for crying over a girl." Namjoon took Taehyung’s glass, swirling the liquid.

"And the fact is, I still can’t forget my first love. Do you know how much I used to love her in high school? She chose *him*. Of all people, she dated Mark!" Jimin’s voice cracked, raw with pain.

"Stop sobbing like a baby. You weren’t the victim of her choices. You murdered her boyfriend today." Yoongi was already exhausted by Jimin’s theatrics, the vulnerability in his voice grating on his nerves.

"He was about to rape her! I saw her protesting, but he wouldn’t back down. I had to do it."

"That’s why we haven’t kicked you out yet." Seokjin appeared, smoothly patting Jimin’s shoulder. “I know what you did, and it’s okay to feel that lost love again. It's okay to feel jealous of her with someone else, but remember—not everything goes your way.”

Jimin nodded numbly. Jungkook watched, stunned by how easily Seokjin calmed Jimin’s spiraling mind. He really was a good counselor.

Jieun came and sat beside Seokjin, winding her arm around his waist. She chuckled, looking at the BTS members like they were her own brothers. “I wonder why you all hate girls.”

“Not you, noona. It’s just our past that broke our trust in them.” Taehyung shrugged.

Jieun giggled. “Girls feel the same. We don’t believe in men, but life is incomplete without each other.” She pecked Seokjin’s cheek, drawing playful groans from the maknae line and smiles from the hyungs.

They all laughed until Jungkook said, “Good thing I never found myself drowning for a girl.”

Namjoon smirked. “Not yet. You were too young when you joined us. Your time is just starting to bloom.”

“And who knows if destiny has already started tangling your lives together?”

“Stop with that nonsense about destiny and fate. They don’t exist.” Jimin snapped. “We make our own life.”

Jungkook watched everyone agree, wondering if he'd ever meet his soulmate. He’d grown up with the BTS members, surrounded by conflicting viewpoints. Some believed in angels, others in hard work.

He sighed and walked out onto the lawn, staring at the full moon shining in the sky.

“Where are you, soulmate?”

*****

Hey everyone,

This is a fanfiction about deep, meaningful life with twists and turns, full of romance and struggles. It will contain humor, love, possession, jealousy, fights, and mature, sexual content.

There will be use of abusive words and violence, which I do not promote in any manner. These things might seem cool, but excessive alcohol, drugs, and illegal actions are harmful, and I want you to remember that.

This will definitely be interesting, I swear, but you need to read it because I’m not good at introductions, descriptions, or prologues.

There are plenty of grammatical mistakes. For example, if you see “straddle” please read it as “strolled.” This book is unedited, so please bear with it.
