“You are so handsome, Hyung.”

Jungkook’s POV:

After letting the tears fall, I must have drifted off for a little while. A gentle tap on my shoulder woke me. It was dinner time. A soft voice, kind and inviting, reached out.

“Hey, buddy. Are you alright? You must be hungry. I’m coming to fetch you for dinner. Come with me.”

The man standing before me was strikingly handsome, tall and broad-shouldered with a narrow waist. What caught my attention wasn't just his appearance, but the calm, charming aura that surrounded him. Just being near him eased the ache in my chest.

He noticed my gaze lingering, realizing we hadn’t formally met.

“Oh, my apologies. I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Kim Seokjin, Visual of BTS. Worldwide Handsome, as I’m known. Though I’m the eldest member, you seem charmed nonetheless. Stop staring, and come with me. By the way, nice to meet you, Jungkook.”

“Y…Yes, Hyung. Nice to meet you too.” A flush crept onto my cheeks.

“You’re really cute, Jungkook. Now come on, everyone’s waiting.”

We walked together to the dining room, attached to the kitchen. The other members were already seated around a low table. (Luxury was a distant memory at that time.)

Yoongi Hyung, Jimin Hyung, and Jhope Hyung sat huddled together, looking sullen for reasons I didn’t understand. Across from them, Namjoon Hyung glared. When he saw us approaching, he smiled, gesturing for me to sit beside him. I obeyed, and Seokjin Hyung settled next to me, observing the others.

“Don’t you all have something to say to Jungkook? I think now’s the time.”

I wondered what this was about.

Yoongi Hyung glared, then coughed.

“Uhmmm… Jungkook… I… um… we’re sorry. What you heard… um… it wasn’t what it seemed. We were just joking. But if we hurt you, we apologize.” He sounded sincere, but guilt was evident.

“Yes, Jungkook-ah. I apologize for making you uncomfortable.” Jhope Hyung offered a small smile. I realized instantly that he was someone you couldn’t hate.

“Me too. Forgive and forget, okay? Let’s start fresh.” Jimin Hyung flashed a bright smile, easing the tension.

“Don’t worry, Hyungs. I already forgot about it. And I don’t mind if you tease me. I… I’ll try to get used to it.” I replied politely.

“The hell you don’t mind? I *do* mind. You all, don’t you dare make fun of him, or you’ll face me. Understand?” Jin Hyung’s voice was sharp, and even I flinched. But I sensed it was a protective threat, not genuine anger. He couldn’t hurt anyone; he looked intimidating yet endearing.

“Oh, please. You’re already taking advantage of your seniority. My ears are still ringing.” Yoongi Hyung sounded thoroughly annoyed.

Only then did I notice the redness of his ears. Jin Hyung had scratched them a little too roughly. A small smile tugged at my lips. Jhope Hyung noticed.

“Awe… you smile at our misery, Jungkook?” He asked with mock annoyance.

“You deserve it, punks.”

“He sounds like our Eomma, Jin Hyung.” Jimin Hyung pouted cutely.

“He definitely behaves like our Eomma, Jimin. We’re just chilling with our youngest because he looks like a kid. So what was the reason for this harassment?” Yoongi Hyung was still irritated, still sulking.

“What *you* did is called harassment, you idiot. And he’s only a few years younger than you, so stop babying him. You sound like a grandpa calling him a kid.” Jin Hyung retorted.

“Whatever.”

I didn't lie; I enjoyed their bickering. It made me feel more at home. I smiled at their playful quarrel. Namjoon Hyung had been watching me the whole time, a satisfied smile playing on his lips.

“Okay, enough barking. Didn’t I tell you we start our first project tomorrow morning? We have to wake up early. Stop fooling around and start eating. Where’s Taehyung?” Namjoon Hyung asked Jin Hyung.

“He said he’d be back in the evening from his relative’s house, but I don’t know why he’s late.” Jin Hyung replied. I realized then that one member was missing. His name was Taehyung.

“His relatives held him back for dinner, so he’ll come after. He called me and asked me to inform you.” Jimin Hyung replied.

“This boy! I hope he won’t be too late. Did you inform him about the schedule?” Namjoon Hyung asked Jimin Hyung.

“Yes, I informed him. Don’t worry. He won’t be late.”

“Okay, now everyone starts eating, and you, Jungkook, eat properly. You must be starving. It’s not good to starve at your age. You need proper nutrition.” I was touched by Jin Hyung’s care.

“And who’s babying him now?” Yoongi Hyung smiled, teasing Jin Hyung. I was smiling too.

“Aweee… look at this cute face! Sorry, Jungkook, but I can’t stop cooing over you. You’re really, really cute.” Jin Hyung pinched my cheek gently, and I blushed, looking down. They all laughed at my shyness.

God, I felt like I was finally home.

---

After dinner, everyone returned to our shared bedroom. I wasn’t sleepy, so I decided to explore the dorm.

I passed a room filled with musical instruments. Curiosity led me to investigate. It looked like a practice studio. On a whim, I picked up a microphone and tested the sound. Soon, I was lost in singing my favorite songs, forgetting how much time had passed. Then, suddenly, I felt someone’s presence at the door. I startled with fear, but when I turned around…

I… I saw the most breathtaking sight of my life.

A handsome boy stood in the doorway. The most beautiful face I had ever seen. His light brown, fluffy hair, his large, dark eyes, his straight but cute nose, his sharp jawline, his fair, toned skin, his full red lips, his heart-shaped mouth, his slim body, his loose attire (an oversized sweater and baggy pants)—all of him was intoxicating. I stood dumbfounded.

He smiled at my blatant staring, and his boxy smile drew me even closer. He was so good-looking that I forgot to respond.

“Hello there. I’m sorry if I disturb you, but your voice is incredible, and your songs are so melodious. I couldn’t help but check who was singing.” His compliment snapped me out of my trance. I felt embarrassed and shy, but I couldn’t look away.

“Tha… thank you. Hi, I’m Jungkook.”

“Oh, hi. I’m Kim Taehyung. I’m also a group member. Sorry we didn’t introduce ourselves before. I had to visit some relatives, and I was shifted for a few days now. I couldn’t refuse their dinner invitation.”

“Yes, I’ve met them all.”

“I guess you found out they’re a little weird and crazy. Don’t worry, they’re all lovely and very caring too. I think you and I can take advantage of their foolish *hyungie* attitude… you know, it’s so easy to convince them. They can’t stand our cute pouts and smiles… hehehe.” Taehyung Hyung laughed heartily.

“I think so too.” I couldn’t stop smiling.

“Can I call you Kookie? I don’t like saying full names every time, and this name suits you too.”

“Yes… yes, you can, Taehyung Hyung.”

“Gheee!!… what a long… long name? It sounded like I am an old *ajushi* with a stick in my hand, and roaming in a garden with my doggy!!!” His imagination about himself made me laugh out loud.

“You’re so funny, Taehyung Hyung.” I laughed freely, without realizing it was the first time since coming here.

Taehyung Hyung observed my laughter intently.

“Your smile is so bright, Kookie. Smile more. It suits you.”

I suddenly felt shy with his compliment. He saw my blush but didn’t comment or coo over me. I felt more comfortable with him. He treated me as an equal, not a baby.

“Thank you, Hyung.”

“You can call me Tae when we’re alone. I don’t like unnecessary honorifics. It makes me feel older, and my stage name, which I chose for myself, is V, so you can call me V too.”

“It’s a nice name, V Hyung. And thank you for treating me equally. It means a lot to me.”

“Okay. We have to go to our room soon, or I think our *hyungs* will call for a search party. And we have to wake up early for tomorrow’s workshop too.” Taehyung reminded me that I’d lost track of time.

We walked together to our room, choosing beds side by side. Taehyung Hyung handed me a blanket and set an alarm nearby. I just watched him, fascinated.

After a while, he lay down and pulled the blanket over himself.

“Good night, Kookie. Sweet dreams.” He smiled, then closed his eyes. He faced me, so I could watch him without hesitation. He looked like a sleeping angel. I found him more and more attractive. After a while, when I was sure he was asleep, I shifted onto my elbow, leaning slightly closer. Not too close, but close enough to observe every feature of his face. I smiled.

“I also want to say… you are so handsome, Hyung.” My eyes shone with satisfaction. I finally voiced the words I’d been desperately wanting to tell him. Even if he couldn’t hear me, I wanted to give him this compliment. I lay back, closing my eyes with a smile.

--- So, how was their first introduction to each other?? Do you like it or not? Comment to me.

Do you know? It happened in real too. When Taehyung first time saw Jungkook, he practiced in the studio. Their first encounter is like this but I make it to my imagination. We don’t know what they felt about each other. Only they can say about this but I can imagine their feelings, which was surely turn out completely different in the future.

For me, Taekook is always real. ???? Please vote, if you like it and want me to write more. Thank you. And I purple you. ????
