The silence was a predator, lurking in every corner. A knot of anxiety twisted in the dying man’s chest.

The room reeked of stale blood. The frontman wept, clutching at the threads of a life nearly unravelled.

Heavy footsteps echoed in the cavernous warehouse, drawing closer to the man sprawled on the floor.

The footsteps stopped. A figure materialized from the shadows, radiating power and dominance. He loomed over the trembling man.

“Boss, he hasn’t uttered a word,” a tense voice broke the silence. The boss slowly folded his arms, a slow, deliberate movement. Fear slammed into the man on the floor, choking him. He swallowed hard, tasting copper.

The boss sank into a chair opposite him, fingers tracing the line of his jaw, thumb pressing into his chin. He was calculating, weighing options. No one could guess what twisted in his mind.

But his eyes… they promised death. The choice was the man’s: the easy way, or the hard.

The man on the floor stared up, horrified. “Pl…please… forgive me,” he stammered, voice cracking.

Then his gaze met the black void of the boss’s eyes, and his blood turned to ice.

“Ahhhhhhh!”

The boss’s fist connected with bone and muscle. A brutal, relentless assault. “Did I give you permission to speak?” Each punch landed with sickening force.

Blood bloomed across the man’s face. He begged for mercy, his voice a strangled rasp. “Tell me… who sent you.” The boss’s voice was a low, controlled rumble.

“I… I don’t know.” He had no energy left.

“Ethan.” The boss snapped the order.

“Ali Zia Khan has a wife, two daughters, one son, and parents: Abdul-Zia Khan and Aliya Khan. His wife’s name is Alizey Khan. They live in a nearby building, black-and-white building X. Her number is 300…” Ethan rattled off the details.

“Don’t harm my family, I swear I’ll tell you everything.”

A smirk twisted Ethan’s lips. “Ahmed sent me to keep an eye on you.”

BOOM.

The deafening roar of a gunshot. Ali lay still, a bullet hole blossoming in the center of his forehead. His eyes stared wide, frozen in shock as life drained away.

Smoke curled from the gun, a testament to the finality of the act.

The men moved in, efficient and silent, to clean up the mess and haul away the body.

The boss left with Ethan, his first man. “Where to?” Ethan asked.

“Hell. Care to join?” Zaviyar’s voice was clipped.

“Shut up,” Ethan retorted, his eyes burning with a predatory glare.

Next Day

Zaviyar’s Office

Zaviyar was immersed in his work, the usual mafia business, when the door burst open. Ethan, the mannerless beast and, unfortunately, his best friend.

“Hey dude,” he said casually, slumping onto the sofa. “Ever guard of the word knowing?” he asked, irritation lacing his tone.

“Heard of it many times, why are you asking?”

“Then your hands hurt if you knock on the door.”

Zaviyar rolled his eyes.

“Why is there any way an…” he trailed off, returning to his laptop.

“I will tell you but first you have to put that thing away,” he said, pointing at my laptop. “This thing is known as a laptop,” I said. “Yeah whatever I don’t care just put it away,” he said ordering me. Ahhhhrrrggggg this man is so annoying how did we become best friends anyway. I put the laptop away and looked at him waiting for him to start.

“Hear read it I know you will love it,” he said while handing me a file I read it.

It was about the bastard I’d hunted for years. He’d changed his name and lived peacefully in this city, and had a daughter.

His weakness was my weapon. His daughter.

I started to think about ways to kill him, to torture his daughter. I saw pictures of him only put the file on the already burning fire of revenge.

After years of hard work, I was finally able to take my revenge.

To calm the fire inside me.

To fuel the burning fire in me.

Because this is my

“MY BURNING DESIRE.”

How was the chapter???

Short I know but I promise the next chapter will be more fun.

That’s it for today.

Bye take care.
