Prologue

The Akiyama family is legendary for its strength, spanning generations. Currently, Brianna Akiyama, the eldest, is most renowned for her beauty and a talent for persuasion that rivals Midnight’s. The twins, Leo and Lily Akiyama, follow, capable of hacking any system with devices crafted by their fourth brother, Keith Akiyama, whose hands are responsible for the suits of many pro heroes. Daniel Akiyama, the third oldest, is simply the strongest in raw physical power. Now, to the younger generation. After Keith come the Akiyama sisters – five of them, a force of nature. The eldest is Kazumi Akiyama. She carries herself with a grace that belies her position as the first of the sisters. Following her is Suka, always on the hunt for the perfect frappe, her style impeccable in every detail. Kazumi and Suka are twins, the oldest pair within the sisters’ group. After them come (Y/N) and Mai, inseparable due to their unique quirks. Underestimate them at your peril, for they are the strongest when working in tandem. Lastly, there’s Sakura, the youngest. She's often mistaken for the oldest, responsible and always reminding her sisters of forgotten tasks. That completes the Akiyama siblings. Their father is Japanese, their mother half-Korean and half-American. Now, let the story begin.

(Y/N)’s POV

“(Y/N)!” Mom called, her voice sharp.

“Yeah!? I’m right here, Mom, don’t worry.” I replied, trying to sound casual.

“Where are your sisters? I don’t see them anywhere.” She pressed.

“Maybe they’re in the bathroom?” I offered, unsure. I’d been glued to my phone, oblivious to their departure. (We’re in the airport right now.)

“Can you go get them? It’s almost time to leave.” My mom requested.

“Sure,” I agreed, heading towards the girls’ bathroom. Inside, I found Kazumi, Suka, and Mai huddled together, likely exchanging gossip as usual. Surprisingly, Sakura was with them—she only joined when something truly important was happening. They were all fixated on Suka’s phone, but I wasn’t in the mood to inquire.

“Guys, our flight’s almost here. Come on, we gotta go.” I urged, pointing towards the exit.

“Wait, isn’t that Bakugou?! What is he doing on the news!?” Sakura whisper-yelled, attempting to be discreet.

“Quit joking around. If you’re trying to trick me, it’s not working,” I retorted, unconvinced.

“No, look! He’s actually on the news!! And this is live, (Y/N)!” Kazumi insisted, shoving the phone closer.

I grabbed Suka’s phone and stared at the screen. The cameras focused on All Might and two other figures. My eyes widened in recognition.

“What are they doing there!? What happened!?” I blurted out, half-yelling, half-asking.

“It seems they were in the sludge incident, and All Might saved them,” Mai answered calmly.

“Okay, I’ll read the details on my phone when we’re on the plane. Let’s go, we’re gonna miss our flight!” I panicked slightly, worried for both Katsuki and Izuku. I knew Katsuki would be furious if he found out he’d been saved by All Might, so I planned to ask Izuku about it later.

My sisters and I practically ran toward our other family members.

“Are we late!?” We all exclaimed simultaneously.

“No, no. You have half an hour left, so you’re fine,” Mom reassured us, slightly confused by our rush.

We glanced at each other, then glared at our oldest brother, Leo, who was stifling laughter.

~Flashback~

“Hey, we’re going to the bathroom real quick, we’ll be right back.” Suka had said.

“Well, hurry back. We only have twenty minutes left until our flight,” Leo had replied, attempting to sound serious and convincing—which worked on all the girls.

“Alright, see you in ten minutes,” Suka had responded.

I’d heard him, and he sounded so genuine that I’d believed him too.

~Flashback End~

“LEO!!” We yelled in unison, thoroughly annoyed. That’s when he took off running, roaring with laughter as we chased him.

“Get him!!” I shouted, as we cornered him and tackled him to the ground.

“You’re gonna pay for tricking us!” Mai yelled, joining the tickle attack. I dove on top of him, elbows digging into his stomach.

“Oww, okay okay I’m sorry, is it over yet?” Leo gasped, clutching his sides.

“I guess so,” I conceded. We all looked at each other and burst into laughter.

“Okay kids, it’s time to go now,” Mom said, watching as our older siblings followed her.

“Let’s go now,” Sakura said, as we started following them.

~Timeskip to the airplane~

I settled into my seat, next to a guy my age. As I was putting on my earphones, he started talking to me. I tried to look annoyed, but failed miserably.

“Calm down, sorry for disturbing you, but I wanted someone to talk to,” he said, noticing my scowl.

I sighed before responding. “Sure, but don’t expect me to listen to half of your crap.” I was genuinely irritated—half because I wanted to check the news about Katsuki and Izuku, and half because I was dealing with mood swings. It was that time of the month, and I tended to get volatile.

“My name’s Ted. Ted Russel,” he said, extending his hand.

“Hm, Name’s Y/N. Y/N Akiyama,” I replied, shaking his hand.

“You look like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” he commented.

“That’s because I did,” I snapped back.

“Anyway, where’re you headed?” Ted asked.

“To Japan, duh,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“I mean where in Japan,” he clarified.

“To my house,” I said, with an exasperated sigh.

“Are you going to apply for UA too?” He asked, undeterred by my sarcasm.

“Yeah, leave me alone,” I muttered, barely a whisper.

“What?” Of course, he didn’t hear me. Deaf boy.

“I said go take a shower,” I said louder, wanting to see his reaction.

“But I already did.”

“Then take another shower.”

“Fine fine, I’ll leave you alone now,” he conceded.

“Thank you,” I smiled sweetly.

“You should smile more, it looks good on you,” he commented.

“And who said you could tell me what to do?” I was annoyed again.

When he finally shut up, I put on my earphones and drifted off to sleep.

~Timeskip to the limo~

“Who was that cute guy you were talking to on the airplane?” Suka asked teasingly.

“What are you talking about?” I asked, confused.

“You know, the guy who sat next to you on the airplane,” my oldest sister, Brianna, said.

“Oh, that annoying butthead?” I said. I don’t curse around my family.

“His name’s Ted Russel,” I said in a bored tone.

“Wait, Russel?! Oh, honey, you’re going to see more of him in the future,” Mom said.

“No thanks,” my sisters and I said in unison.

“What? Why? Do you girls already have boyfriends?” Lily asked.

“No, we don’t. It’s just that he’s not our type,” Sakura said, mirroring my tone.

“Shut up, I’m trying to sleep,” Keith mumbled, too tired to engage.

“Yeah, we do have a type, and Ted isn’t it,” Kazumi said, ignoring Keith, who didn’t care at all.

“Anyways, we’re here,” Mom announced as our driver pulled up to our mansion. I never liked flaunting our wealth because I wasn’t one of those snobby rich kids.

We all went to our respective rooms, and I went to mine. It looked the same as I remembered, but cleaner. ‘Looks like the maids did their job.’ I changed into an oversized sweatshirt and shorts, wanting nothing more than to walk around outside.

And that’s exactly what I did. Of course, I couldn’t go anywhere without bodyguards shadowing me. As soon as I mentioned going out, my dad sent them. He kept warning me about villains, determined to protect me. I ignored them and went outside with my earphones on.

I sat on a park bench, my bodyguards lingering behind me. I scrolled through my phone and sipped my milkshake.

“Y-Y/N?!” A voice called out. It was familiar. I looked up to see Izuku, my childhood friend.

“Izuku!” I jumped up and hugged him, him stiffening at first but then hugging me back tighter.

“I haven’t seen you in forever!! W-where have you been?? Kacchan thought he would never see you again!” Izuku exclaimed.

I giggled. “Sorry for worrying you guys, my family and I had to move to Hawaii for business, then South Korea for a few years before moving back here!!” I explained as Izuku listened intently.

“Don’t tell Katsuki I’m here yet. I want to surprise him!” I told him.

“Sure! I want to see his reaction too!” Izuku said, a little nervous.

“Hm? What’s wrong, Izuku?”

“W-why do you h-have b-b-bodyguards??”

“Oh, my dad just told them to watch me so I won’t get hurt by villains.” I pointed at the guards.

“O-okay. Want to get something to eat?”

“Sure!”

~Timeskip to home~

I didn’t announce my return home, too tired to bother. I told my bodyguards to inform my dad and went to my room, collapsing into sleep without even changing clothes.
