Kaida was born into leadership, the daughter of the Chief and Chief-tress of Zangoth. Her early life was filled with warmth and promise. She was taught to honor dragons—a secret her father vehemently denied. Her mother instilled in her a reverence for the creatures, believing they held the key to Zangoth’s prosperity.
One day, her mother vanished without a trace. The loss shattered Kaida’s world. Her father, consumed by grief and fueled by fear, began brutal dragon tournaments, forcing the beasts to fight each other. He justified it as strength training.
He then forced Kaida into grueling training sessions, overseen by a cruel lieutenant, leaving her scarred both physically and emotionally. At eight, she fled Zangoth, finding refuge with Aron Argeirson in Berk.
It was in Berk where she met Hiccup, and their friendship blossomed. Together, they began to challenge Berk’s traditions, paving the way for a new era of harmony between Vikings and Dragons.
