4 years later
"Freedoooooooom! For you!" the tall white-haired man in a blindfold made finger guns and pointed it at the girl walking beside him. "Temporarily tho, but at least, beggars are not choosers are they?"
Y/N sighed for the nth time, she still can't believe that she is related to him. Sure they were just like 13 years apart but really, this man is just a child stuck in a 2-meter body of a man. More especially that he now wears a blindfold. 'How ridiculous'
The two Gojos are currently walking towards the dormitory, this was the day she finally got out of that suffocating estate, it was indeed liberating without all those maids that assists her, and adults telling her what to wear, what to eat, what to do. She swore she would really rebel if she wasn't allowed to study in the Tokyo branch of Jujutsu High, but thankfully they let her, also with the help of the great Gojo Satoru. So there was peace.
"Come on Y/N at least celebrate!"
"I want to sleep" she replied in a bored and tired tone, travelling for hours isn't really her cup of tea.
"Tch, you're no fun! I can't believe I will handle two grumpy students, I thought I already survived Maki"
"Maki is fun to hang out with, I wanna be like her"
"Damn—wait, okay, actually, that, I agree" he said touching his chin. "You should learn from her, go on full 360 and shock our family, Y/N Gojo the rebel goes all out on rage! How does that sound to you? 'Cause I love it!"
"Sounds corny, but not impossible"
"Oooooh! I like that, so! When are we wiping out all of them?"
"Not gonna happen today"
"Awe and here I thought you finally changed your mind"
"I only said it's not impossible to happen, but the chances are low"
"Damn it!"
Y/N wasn't as kind and obedient as everyone in the Gojo family thought she is, well, not as docile as she was when she was a child. Growing up, she realized more how caged she was and how she's just being pulled by the strings as if she was a marionette, especially when she met and befriended Maki from the Zen'in clan, Maki hated her at first seeing how obedient she was with the elders, it disgusted her to the point she challenged her in a duel just to vent out her disgust on Y/N's attitude.
Y/N wasn't weak in combat but she wasn't as strong as Maki either, her strength lies in long range weapons with the bow and arrow being her best, her technique isn't as powerful like her cousin or of the others, but it is very useful, she can create weapons by manipulating light through her cursed energy; as long as there is light, she can store and pull out her weapons there, and she can also utilize reverse cursed technique to heal people. These techniques aren't as flashy as others but is as valuable as gold, especially her reverse cursed technique, making her climb the ranks. Currently, she is a grade 2 sorcerer.
Maki was completely annoyed, she sees her as someone weak not in terms of her jujutsu—her techniques need no doubt—but her will, she sees her as a puppet and someone who has no backbone. But seeing her snap and laughing like a madwoman when she was tackled to the ground and spitting the words "Oh how lovely would it be if I wasn't born, right? But I was, and I just want to live a simple and peaceful life free from conflicts. I just want to live normally, I just want to be happy, maybe if I wasn't the first girl to be born in this generation of Gojos, then maybe I could have had that life, and my brother wouldn't have died "
It made her realize that they were actually kind of in the same boat, same sentiments but different circumstances. She was actually taken a back especially when she was about to break down when she mentioned her brother, Maki knew her older brother is dead but she did not know how and why. Maki realized that she was actually lucky that she was able to turn her back against her family, it wasn't the case for Y/N. This made her realize that Y/N wasn't actually as weak as she thought she was. So she apologized and eventually they actually got along with each other and became friends.
"Damn it Panda! I told you to put it in front of the door, not here!" and speaking of. The girls' dormitory was suddenly in a ruckus when the loud voice was heard.
"I no human, I no understand! I'm just panda!"
"Maki! I'll leave Y/N to you!" Satoru shouted and this caught the green-haired girl's attention.
"Welp, there goes your wonderful senpai, she'll be the one to show you your room, I'll disappear, ciao!"
"What the, this is your responsibility damn blindfold!" Maki was clearly annoyed, it's not that she hated showing Y/N her room, it's just that that man once again fled from his task and this wasn't even a difficult one.
"You sure you both are related? Because you two are polar opposites, can't believe you actually get along with that man" Maki complained.
"Yeah, makes me wonder too" Y/N laughed. "It's been a while Maki"
"Finally got a breather? I swear living in this school is a hundred times better than in any other family estate"
"Well, I don't know, it's fun when someone does the chores for you" she replied in a teasing tone, Maki rolled her eyes and gestured to follow her.
"Sure Y/N-sama, right this way madam, your room is just right next to mine" Y/N chuckled at her.
"My dear servant, thank you"
"Why, you're enjoying this huh? What if I—" Y/N cut her off when her gaze landed on someone so familiar walking towards the stairs.
"Is that..."
"Oi Megumi, come here and greet your classmate" Maki called out, and the moment the two met each other's eyes they froze.
"What are you standing there, get your ass up here!"
"Fushiguro...Megumi?"
"L/N Y/N?"
"It's Gojo Y/N, what are you talking about?" Maki furrowed her eyebrows at him.
"Gojo?"
"It's you! Wow, Fushiguro, it's been really a long time!" Y/N went up to him smiling, it was her first happy smile in many years, Maki was quite taken aback seeing this. How does she know Megumi and why does she look so happy?
"You're a Gojo?" the boy asked, confused at her identity now.
"Unfortunately." she replied. "I'm sorry for not telling you when we were kids, Satoru told me to hide my identity from you, he just wanted me to have a true friend"
It was true, Y/N had friends but they were all just being nice to her because she is the Gojo clan's 2nd greatest asset next to Satoru, after all she is the key to the merge of two powerful families. When her older brother died, she was just 6 and no one was there for her except for Satoru, had Satoru not been there for her she must have completely became an empty shell. Satoru was aware of this so he just magically brought her a friend one day. They meet whenever Satoru takes her out of the estate and stays at his own rented flat for missions. Megumi and Y/N eventually got along and became good friends.
"Oh...okay" was his only reply, he had a hunch that both of them were somehow related, turns out he was right after all.
This made him smile a bit, he was actually glad to see her again.
"We haven't seen each other since we were like 12, what happened?" Y/N asked.
"Gojo sensei did not tell you?" now it was Y/N's turn to be confused.
"Tell me what?"
"I was practically sold off as collateral by my father to his family, the Zen'ins, but he somehow stopped it and took me in to Jujutsu High when my father suddenly disappeared, so now I'm going to this school so that the Zen'ins won't go after me immediately"
"Wait, I thought you said your father was already dead when we were kids?"
'So that man that looks like him that I saw at the banquet, was he really his father?'
"That's what I thought, apparently that relative of yours lied and just later on revealed everything when I was 12, well he died when I was 13 anyway, so it somehow came true. How are you two even related?"
"Oh believe it or not, he's her cousin" Maki said while crossing her arms.
"Well, that's unfortunate, he did not even tell me you were going to be my classmate"
"Unfortunate indeed, and he also did not inform me you are going here too, damn that Satoru, and he's going to be our teacher"
"Ha! Good luck with that" Maki scoffed. "I will leave first, you two catch up with whatever history you have" she said and walked away.
"So you are...a Zen'in?" Y/N asked. 'What is with me involving myself with every Zen'ins everywhere?'
"I guess, since that cousin of yours said my father was part of that clan, but I'm still keeping my last name Fushiguro"
"Well damn" Y/N facepalmed and smirked in disbelief. Turns out she could never get out of the Zen'ins' grasp, even her first ever friend is a Zen'in. What has she done in her past life for the world to do this to her?
"I missed you by the way" she said unconsciously.
"Actually...me too" Megumi looked away.
'Wait, did I just blurted it out loud?'
Both were flustered by the exchange, so Megumi cleared up his throat and asked.
"You haven't also showed up since we were 12, what happened to you?"
There was silence for about three seconds before she suddenly laughed.
"Hahaha!" Megumi got confused at her sudden laughter, it was as if she's gone crazy for a second, "I'm sorry, I just find my situation funny, well I was actually also sold off to your clan" she smiled bitterly although she had already accepted this destiny long time ago.
Megumi only gave her a more confused look. "What do you mean?"
"I am going to marry whoever will be declared the next Zen'in clan leader and that fate has been sealed four years ago"
