POV 3 OS

Three strangers with similar fates met in a place none of them ever imagined they would find themselves. The silence in the waiting room of the Omega OBGYN clinic was occasionally broken by the quiet sobs of one of the three present. The nurse informed them that the doctor had been called away to an unexpected case and that they would have to wait for some time. So, they waited and waited.

KRIST POV

I observed my surroundings. There were three of us in the waiting room, and it seemed we were of similar age. Perhaps our situation is more common than I had thought. The boy before me was visibly upset and crying. His hair was short and tousled, a bit messy from running his hands through it in distress. His eyes were red and puffy from crying, with tears streaming down his cheeks. He was wearing a light blue shirt with a small logo on the chest, paired with dark jeans. The doctor's office had a calm, neutral decor with light-colored walls and a few medical posters. The boy's shoulders were slumped, and he clutched a tissue in his hand, trying to wipe away the tears.

I felt incredibly sorry for him. I sat down next to him and patted him on the back to calm him down a bit.

"Hey, little one, is everything okay? Can I do something for you?" The boy didn't answer but looked at me with his swollen eyes. I felt sorry for him. "I assume we're all here for the same reason. Don't worry, we'll get through this somehow."

"I don't know what to do," he said in a cracked voice, which made it clear this wasn't his first wave of tears.

"Do you want to talk about it? We have to wait anyway."

"I don't know what to do," he repeated, accompanied by a new waterfall of tears. "I don't know if I can handle it. I'm alone."

That's when I realized he was in the same situation as me, but before I could ask, the third person spoke up.

"You're not marked," came a voice from the corner. For the first time, I took a good look at the third person present. Even while sitting, it was clear he was of short stature, no more than 160 cm. His face looked very young and delicate, but at the moment it bore an expression completely incongruous with his body. His dark brown eyes were narrowed in anger, as if he wanted to stab someone with his gaze, but not us; he was very angry at someone. He had short to medium-length hair styled in a sporty way and was dressed in ordinary jeans and a white shirt with a sun on the chest.

I sighed a little. Our society already has enough prejudices against all Omegas, and an unmarked pregnant Omega is considered a disgrace. But let's be honest, I'm in exactly the same situation.

"I'm not marked either," I admitted something I had been denying to myself.

"Really, and what are you going to do now?" the waterfall of tears asked me.

"If I keep it, I can never go home again. I don't want to do it, but I don't think I have any other choice." I sighed and reflexively ran my fingers through my hair.

"I... I want to keep it, but I'm alone, I have no one, and I'm so scared, so very scared." I hugged him, and he began to speak. He lives alone without parents, was in a long-term relationship, and last week he found out he was expecting. On the day he was supposed to meet his partner and share the news that made his life the best day in the world, it turned into the worst day in the world. That day, his partner's engagement to a politician's daughter was officially announced. The worst part was that it had been arranged for a long time, and his partner had never mentioned it to him. Then the waterfall of tears made sense—why he was never introduced to his partner's parents, why they never had dates in public places, and why they had to act like just friends in public. When he called his partner for an explanation, he was told he was making a big deal out of it. That he could have a wife and still maintain a relationship with him. That he only saw him as a friend with benefits and never considered him as anything more. This phone call broke the waterfall of tears' heart.

GUN POV

I'm angry at the whole world, angry at how foolish I've been. A trusting fool, but I'll never let that happen again. I'll rid myself of this mistake and then leave. I'll go somewhere far away, where no one knows me. No one is waiting for me here anyway. I never want to have anything to do with anyone in Thailand again. I've already taken the first step: I packed a small suitcase and a backpack. I sent documents to the school to terminate my attendance, sent my resignation to my part-time job, and immediately terminated my lease. Thanks to being quite frugal and getting my apartment deposit back, I have enough money to leave without looking over my shoulder. I rented an Airbnb near the airport for a week, and as soon as I settle this last thing, I'll get on the first plane out of here.

I was drowning in my dark thoughts and the desire to destroy the world when I overheard the two people in front of me talking and started listening.

"I'm not marked either," I blurted out. The boy with glasses, no older than me, glanced at me briefly and then returned to comforting the bundle of tears next to him. The other one started pouring out his story, and I felt sorry for him. He too had been betrayed by someone he loved. My thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of the nurse. Finally, I just want to get this over with.

"Gentlemen, I'm sorry, but the doctor won't be coming today. Could you come back tomorrow at the same time you were scheduled for today? I'm sorry you waited in vain."

The waterfall of tears started again. My old self would have comforted him too, but no, I won't be like that anymore. I'll be tough. But out of nowhere, I find myself asking if they have anywhere to go, and when they both shook their heads, I hear myself, even more surprised, asking if they want to stay at my place.

I have no idea what happened. I promised myself I wouldn't be kind anymore, yet I ended up in a situation where I invited two strangers to my apartment. Both had small suitcases and clearly had nowhere else to go. I felt sorry for them.

Before we all freshened up, a delivery brought us pizza and snacks, and we sat on the carpet of my Airbnb. I felt like I wanted to help them somehow. Oh well, I just can't be mean.

KRIST'S POV

I was quite surprised when the knife thrower from the corner of the waiting room offered us a place to stay. He's a complete stranger, but I felt comfortable with him. An hour later, I'm sitting on his carpet, and it dawned on me that he's not a bad person at all. Someone had hurt him deeply, and now he's trying to hate the whole world to avoid facing that pain.

The small waterfall of tears had calmed down a bit. "Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm New, 17 years old."

"Krist, 17 years old."

"Gun, 17 years old."

After we all introduced ourselves, New looked at me with a question in his eyes. I guess it's time to share my story too.

"As I said, I'm Krist, 17 years old. I had been in a relationship with my good friend for several years. He's an Alpha and promised to mark me when we reached adulthood. I don't know how it happened, but I found out I was pregnant. I didn't know what to do. My parents already didn't like me because I'm a weak Omega, and if they found out I was gay, I didn't know what they would do. I went to visit my boyfriend without prior notice, and he wasn't alone. When I confronted him, I found out he had been sleeping with others the whole time, even though he acted all lovely-dovey with me in public. Somehow, my parents found out I was pregnant and kicked me out. I can only return if I get rid of the baby. I really want to keep it, but..."

My speech was interrupted by the ringing of my phone. I looked at the screen and saw that Tay was calling.

"It's him..." my voice trembled.

"Do you want to talk to him, or should I get rid of him?" Gun said suddenly, his tone dripping with menace.

"I never want to speak to him again."

GUN'S POV

I motioned for him to hand me the phone and picked it up.

"Krist, where are you? I need to talk to you immediately. Where are you?" An angry voice came from the other end of the line.

"Krist can't come to the phone right now. You don't need to leave a message," I said coldly and hung up.

"If you don't want anything to do with him anymore, I suggest you do what I did. I threw away my SIM card. I don't want anything to do with my old life." Before I could finish my sentence, the phone rang again. Raising an eyebrow, I handed it to Krist, who stared at it for a moment before rejecting the call. A few seconds later, the phone rang again. Krist sighed and turned it off.

"You're right."

When I woke up in the morning, I saw New sleeping, but Krist was nowhere to be found. I made myself some tea, and after a few moments, I heard someone opening the door, which woke New up.

"Gun, you were right. I thought about it all night. I have no one here, my boyfriend is away, and my parents kicked me out. There's no point in staying. I contacted my cousin in the USA, the only one in the family who never blamed me for being an Omega. I explained the situation to her, and she invited me to come live with her. She's an older lady, a widow without children, and she has a big house. I think it will be good for me and the baby there."

I smiled at him, "I'm glad things are starting to look up."

"And as you said, you're without a SIM card, so, um, here." He cleared his throat a bit and placed three new SIM cards on the table.

"I bought one for each of us as we start a new life, plus I have more news for you two. You know, um, I told my cousin that I have two friends in a similar situation. New, I know you want to keep the baby, but you're scared. What if you came with me? My aunt agreed, and if there are more of us to take care of the children, it will be better. We can take turns babysitting, help each other out, and maybe even finish school. What do you think?"

I looked at New, and he was crying again. God, I had to hug him too. It was clear that this news had lifted him to the clouds with happiness.

"Um, and you, Gun, I know you don't want to keep the baby, which is perfectly fine. It's your body, your decision, and no one should make that decision for you. But I also know you want to leave Thailand, so once you've had the procedure, um... What if you came with us? You can stay with us, and it's up to you if it's for a longer time, until we settle down."

I promised myself I wouldn't trust anyone again, that I would rely only on myself, but with these two, I felt comfortable. Maybe it's the hormones. I know the baby isn't to blame, but I don't want it, I can't handle it.

"I'll go with you."
