“Tae, baby, you’re going to school in two days, so we’re going BTS shopping,” Jin said, meticulously packing his bag for the day. He knew any outing with Taehyung, especially shopping, would be exhausting. Luckily, Jungkook was coming along—that would make things manageable.
Jin glanced at Jungkook, slouched in a beanbag chair, absorbed in a video game. If Jungkook didn’t make things worse, at least he wouldn’t add to the chaos.
“Taehyung? Did you hear me?” Jin called, looking up from his bag. “Tae?”
He frowned as Jungkook cranked up the volume. “Jungkook!” Jungkook ignored him, eyes glued to the screen, fingers flying across the controller. “JEON.”
“What?” Jungkook growled, glancing at Jin for a split second. Seeing Jin’s annoyed expression and messy hair, he sighed and tossed the controller onto the floor.
“What?”
Jin rolled his eyes. “Go find Tae, tell him we’re going back-to-school shopping.”
“But it’s in the middle of the year,” Jungkook protested as Namjoon emerged from his and Jin’s room, yawning. “Last night was fun, eh?”
“Whatever! Just go,” Jin stammered, flushing crimson. He brushed off Namjoon’s comment and resumed packing.
Jungkook rolled his eyes.
“Taehyung!” He called, ambling toward their room. It was already one in the afternoon—shouldn’t Taehyung be awake and ready? “Tae—”
Taehyung stood facing Jungkook, holding up two shirts. He was still in his pajamas. Jin had patiently taught Taehyung to manage everyday tasks, and now he could handle most things Jungkook could.
“K-Kookie?”
Jin had taught Taehyung to change over the months, he pretty much could do anything Jungkook could.
“H-Huh? Yes?” Jungkook snapped out of his daydream. “Um, that one.” He plucked the pastel purple sweater, leaving the other, a pink hoodie—probably Jin’s—in Taehyung’s hands.
“Oo, o-okay!” Taehyung grinned, tucking the pink hoodie back into the closet. He struggled to pull off his pajama shirt.
“Ugh.” Taehyung groaned, pouting. “K-Kookie~” He whined. Jungkook chuckled, watching his adorable baby boy struggle.
“C’mon, I’ll help you.” He reached out and effortlessly helped Taehyung slip out of his pajama shirt. “H-Hey, K-Kookie?” Taehyung said as he put on the sweater. “W-What’ll we b-buy?”
“Hmm,” Jungkook thought. “Books, stationery, maybe some clothes, since the school allows us to wear our own clothes.”
Taehyung tilted his head, then his eyes lit up. “Y-You mean l-like n-no un-uniforms??” Jungkook nodded. “C’mon, we gotta go in ten.”
“T-Ten? Ten w-what?”
Jungkook chuckled. “Ten minutes, TaeTae.” Taehyung hummed in understanding.
“Now hurry up and change.”

“Taehyung~!!!” Jin whined, trying to herd everyone into the car. “Get. In!”
Jungkook grinned, watching Jin throw a small tantrum.
How does he even handle Tae? He’s just as childish. Jungkook mentally facepalmed.
Namjoon huffed, finally dragging Taehyung out. Taehyung had been absorbed in choosing socks—whether to wear his black Converse Highs or his pink shoes.
“Finally.” Jin sighed. “Get in.”
All the way to the mall, Jungkook watched Taehyung, who giggled occasionally.
Now Taehyung was cuddled in Jungkook’s lap, Jungkook stroking his soft hair and admiring him in his purple sweater, faded skinny jeans, and black Converse Highs. Taehyung looked adorable.
Jungkook brushed Taehyung’s soft locks out of his eyes, then pressed a soft peck to his lips, making Tae giggle fondly.
“Get up, lovebirds, we’re here.” Jin rolled his eyes jokingly as he parked the car. Everyone stepped out.
Jin smirked, thinking of the things he could buy even with a tight budget. “We’re going shopping.”
