The initial drafts of this story felt… fractured. I found myself scattering acknowledgements and announcements across various chapters, a messy habit born from excitement and a touch of chaos. I’ve consolidated those updates here, hoping to create a single, easily accessible record of the journey *Skylight* has taken – and the incredible community that has grown alongside it.

[October 29, 2020]

I’m archiving these notes because I’m embarking on an intensive rewrite and revision of *Skylight*. Each chapter will be republished after undergoing this process. It’s a daunting task, but I believe it will ultimately strengthen the narrative and address lingering inconsistencies. Thank you for your patience as I revisit and refine the story.

[May 28, 2020]

A quick thank you to everyone who has reached 5,000 reads! It’s more than I ever dared to hope for. Each view, each comment, fuels my motivation. I genuinely appreciate every single person who takes the time to read these words.

[June 2, 2020]

Wow. 10,000 reads.

It feels… surreal. I’m so grateful to those who have persevered through the editing and republishing cycles. I know there are still errors, quirks, and rough edges, but I’m learning and evolving as a writer with every revision.

I’ve been sketching out ideas for new stories, little quirks and possibilities that bubble up during quiet moments. Knowing that people are reading and enjoying *Skylight* gives me the courage to explore those ideas. It started as a creative outlet during quarantine, a personal exercise in storytelling. The fact that it resonated with others is a gift beyond measure.

I think I just remembered why I don't draw as much anymore… it's because writing feels like drawing with words.

[June 5, 2020]

Another huge thank you for reaching 15,000 reads!

[June 8, 2020]

Wow. 20,000 reads.

I sound like a broken record, I know. But I genuinely can’t express my gratitude enough. It feels incredible to know people are connecting with the story.

My favorite part about seeing the readership grow is reading the comments. The laughter, the reactions, the insights… it's a reminder that these words aren’t just floating in the ether. They’re sparking conversations and emotions.

On that note, I want to ask everyone to remember to be kind to each other. Words have power. They can build up or tear down.

Todoroki from *My Hero Academia* once said, "To have a complete stranger change your mindset sounds like a pretty irritating conversation. What matters are actions, you have to show him what you're trying to prove, right? If you're going to rely on words alone, then they better be incredibly powerful."

I think that sentiment applies to online interactions as well. It’s not just about *what* you say, but *how* you say it. I turned to writing to illustrate my actions through words, to share my thoughts and feelings in a tangible way. It's a creative outlet, but also a way to speak my mind.

Holy crap, guys. As I’m writing this, *Skylight* is currently number one in Fanfiction! I am beyond happy with this achievement!

I always clicked on those rankings and thought, “Oh, I’ll never get up there! I’ll need a miracle to do that!”

Well, you provided me with a miracle.

This book has also hit 40,000 reads! I am so grateful for every single one of you and I love you all very much!

I’ll post either a meme or a special add-on tomorrow, I’m still deciding. But yet again, thank you all so freaking much!

[June 12, 2020]

Alright, now we’ve hit 50,000 reads, and I’m about to go absolutely bonkers with excitement!

As a thank you, I’ve created a meme based on a paused scene from *El Dorado*. My friend pointed out the ridiculous expressions on the characters’ faces, and I couldn’t stop laughing.

Again, thank you all so much for so many reads and votes, especially for helping this book place first in fanfiction! I am trying to give you all of my love, so take it!

[June 14, 2020]

Alright, this is kind of a dual-reward/thank you for hitting both 60K and 70K in the past two days. For my fellow *Assassination Classroom* fans, I have a surprise for you that was posted today:

*Insert trumpet noises*

Another book! I know I'm spreading myself thin, but whatever, I'm really enjoying writing this book. I’m experimenting with something there, so if you want to, you can go ahead and check it out. The first three chapters have already been published and I’m so excited! I honestly think my improvements are starting to show in this book and it's giving me the chance to allow myself to think outside the box.

Between you guys and me, I think these are helping me build up the courage and imagination to write a completely original books, not a fanfiction. I’m not quite ready to start my idea but I think with some time I’ll be ready to write and share it with you all.

But anyways, thank you guys so much for so many reads! I love you all!

[June 16, 2020]

Hey guys, I have something to ask you all as a kind of reward for ya'll since this book is getting close to 100K reads (which is absolutely insane).

Where this kind of gift as a thank you will be published at the end of this book and you can comment there if you would like to participate. I’ll also be doing a crap-ton of writing outside of this book. I’ve been really into shows like *Assassination Classroom* and *Demon Slayer* recently and have had quite a bit of inspiration.

In response to this, I may be putting some of my smaller books on hold. I apologize if this is upsetting to some, but I’d rather not be overwhelmed with so many books.

[June 20, 2020]

Yesterday this book hit 100K reads.

I have absolutely no words.

I’m… speechless. (*insert Aladdin song here*)

I just want to say a huge freaking thank you! That’s incredible!

As a little update on writing for the MHA fandom, I have been really inspired recently. I’d like to start writing another guess what? Bakugo x Reader book. Shocking, right?

I just really love this character and think he’s fun to mess around with in terms of writing wise.

Now I don’t know when I’ll publish this because I literally just started writing it even if I am gonna publish it. But know that I will continue to pump out books and chapters to other books I already have published.

[June 23, 2020]

This isn’t anything special but I felt the need to share this because I’m so proud of it. I swear to god I can’t stop laughing.

I’m so dumb, my humor is so stupid xD

[July 5, 2020]

So… this book just hit 200K reads…

I was totally unprepared for that landmark as well…

First off, a huge thank you to everyone that got me here! I totally couldn’t have done it without any of you! Secondly, I guess I’m gonna do two things as kind of a ‘thank you gift’.

For the first part of the gift, I guess I’m gonna do a little Q&A. I just looked up a question or two I could answer on the internet or just came up with it from looking at comments and such. I’ll just post it here since it’s only a couple. No one directly asked these in a chapter where you can ask me stuff, it’s just some stuff I’d like to get clear for anyone wondering.

[July 8, 2020]

Anyone who wants to read the snippet can check it out at the end of the book in its own chapter! I have it posted there so it doesn’t clutter up this chapter.

[July 15, 2020]

So originally I was going to use the OP insertions I’ve written in ‘Skylight|Extras’ as sort of landmarks for certain read counts, but I got too excited and published them all. If you want to, you can go check them out on my page or with the link in the description of this book.

I will put a spoiler warning for those who have not fully read this book yet as some of the later OP’s use some plot points in the later chapters. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy them!
