“Hey Taehyung, wanna go shopping today?” Jungkook flopped onto the bed, bouncing slightly on the soft mattress.
“Yeah, sure. You’re paying for my Gucci stuff, though, because I’m amazing,” Taehyung retorted, flipping an imaginary strand of long hair before returning to his phone, scrolling through the sheep app.
“Alright then, let’s go now. Get ready.”
Taehyung leaped from the bed, heading for his closet. “Wait, why am I rushing? I’m always dazzling.”
He selected his outfit. Since his first cross-dressing experience, he’d been tempted to continue, but today he opted for a geeky look instead.
He bounded down the stairs and spotted Jungkook, looking impossively handsome.
“Hey Taehyung, change of plans. We’re going to the cinema.”
Taehyung nodded. “You better not scream or embarrass me in there.”
AT THE CINEMA: (Because I’m a lazy pig, as Taehyung would say)
Taehyung and Jungkook settled into their seats, surrounded by a mountain of snacks: popcorn, ice cream, slushies, a teddy bear, a bottle of coke, stacks of 3D glasses, more ice cream, more popcorn, chocolate, and a dizzying array of sweets.
“Ugh, Taehyung, why did you make me buy all of this?” Jungkook groaned, gesturing at the sugary pile.
Taehyung covered Jungkook’s mouth with his hand. “First, ‘ugh’ sounds a bit aggressive. Second, you’re a rich muscle pig.”
Two Minutes Into the Movie
A tremor ran through Taehyung’s lower lip. A minor alien character had died onscreen. It wasn’t a central role, but Taehyung found the little alien endearing.
Jungkook, engrossed in the film, hadn’t noticed.
One Hour Into the Movie
Slowly, Taehyung clutched Jungkook’s hand. Jungkook glanced at him with an expression bordering on alarm.
Taehyung had reached his limit. The violence was too much. He began to twist the ring on Jungkook’s finger, tracing circles with his thumb and middle finger, seeking distraction.
He’d misplaced his teddy bear, and a particularly gruesome scene was about to begin.
Taehyung turned his head toward the screen.
A mistake.
Blood splattered across the screen. Taehyung’s tears welled up, and he slowly crawled into Jungkook’s lap.
Jungkook looked down, recognizing Taehyung’s distress. He hushed him, cradling Taehyung’s head on his shoulder, holding his waist, rubbing circles on his back, and gently bouncing his leg.
Taehyung gripped Jungkook’s expensive tie, burying his face in the fabric.
Jungkook didn’t want to waste the popcorn. He began to munch on it, shielding Taehyung from the gore. Taehyung’s sobs softened, becoming muffled sniffles.
Then, Taehyung grabbed Jungkook’s arm, using it as a pillow for his head, burying his face into the crook of Jungkook’s neck. Jungkook responded by resting his head atop Taehyung’s.
Soon, Taehyung drifted asleep. Jungkook found the lost bunny under the seat, then gathered up the remaining snacks, tossing them into the bin. He could easily buy more for Taehyung later.
