~~Y/N's POV~~
The digital clock glowed 4:30 AM. Aphmau had messaged me to meet her outside her house at 5:00 before school. Exhaustion tugged at my eyelids, yet a current of excitement buzzed beneath it. This was it – the final year of school. A wave of sentimentality washed over me, quickly pushed aside with a determined breath. I needed to get ready.
I brushed my long, white hair, smoothing it down as I changed into the school uniform. Phone and bag secured, I glanced at my screen. A text from Aphmau: “You awake Y/N? If so then hurry! Everyone else is already here!”
“Yeah Aph, I’m awake. Heading over now,” I replied, pocketing my phone and stepping out into the cool morning air. I wasn’t sure who “everyone else” was, but I figured I could roll with it.
When I reached Aphmau’s house, I knocked. The door swung open, and Aphmau pulled me into a tight hug.
“Hey, Aph! What did you mean by ‘everyone else’?” I asked, feeling a smile tug at my lips. I hadn’t seen anyone, so I was confused.
Then, as if on cue, the living room exploded with shouts of “SURPRISE!” Garroth, predictably, had burst through the back door, splintering the wood around the frame.
“Garroth! Why did you break the door?” Aphmau exclaimed, but her reprimand was lost in the laughter erupting around us. I dissolved into giggles, soon joined by everyone else.
After the laughter subsided, we settled into the living room, exchanging stories.
“So what was that all about?” I asked, still grinning.
“Well, we remembered that your birthday was last week and we forgot so Travis came up with the idea to surprise you,” Aaron answered, a mischievous glint in his eye. My brother, the mastermind behind this?
*Wow, that was so nice of him,* I thought.
“He also came up with the idea for us to make this whole day all about you and, after school, we’ll have a big party!” Laurance added enthusiastically.
“Your little dork brother is really sweet for planning this,” Katelyn admitted, giving me a knowing smile. I returned it, feeling smug. She knew I shipped her and Travis. She rolled her eyes playfully.
Just then, Travis appeared on the stairs, rubbing his eyes.
“Awww, I missed shouting surprise!” he complained jokingly. Everyone laughed again. I glanced at the time.
“Crap, guys, it’s already 6:00. I gotta go,” I said, standing up. Everyone looked at me, confusion clouding their faces.
I met Aaron’s gaze. He was the only one who understood. I’d told him about the meeting I had today, and he knew I needed to leave.
“Oh, that? I talked to them and they said they could wait a day or two,” he told the others. I hugged him gratefully. I wouldn’t have to face them today after all.
“Thanks,” I said, squeezing him tightly. The others were still bewildered, but I sat back down, determined to enjoy the rest of the morning.
“Well, what do we do now? We have an hour before we have to leave,” I asked.
~~Aphmau’s POV~~
I looked from Y/N to Aaron, feeling a flicker of confusion mirroring everyone else’s. I’d only known Y/N for a few months, but she trusted Aaron more than her own family. I was still getting to know her, but I could tell Aaron was important to her. I’d met him during the summer and was still getting to know him.
“Well, what do we do now? We have an hour before we have to leave,” Y/N asked, sitting back down. Aaron sat beside her, me on her other side, everyone else scattered around the room. Garroth was already patching up the door frame, promising to fix it properly later. Luckily my mom wasn't around this week.
“What do you wanna play Y/N?” Garroth and Laurance asked in unison. Everyone laughed.
“I mean, I have an idea,” she answered, a mischievous glint in her eyes. Everyone leaned forward, intrigued.
~~Y/N’s POV~~
“Well, uh, it’s a mix of two games and I’ve never played it before so I don’t know how it’ll go. Maybe we should just wait till after school to play it.” I suggested.
“If that’s what you wanna do then, yeah, we can do that,” Aaron replied.
“Hey, Aph, can all of us stay here tonight so we can play games till midnight?” Katelyn asked.
“Yeah! We can invite Kawaii~Chan too!” Aphmau responded, her eyes sparkling.
“We need to get going, it’s already 6:58,” I told them, grabbing my bag. We all walked out of the house together, chatting in small groups.

As we reached school, we gathered at the fountain. Kawaii~Chan approached us.
“Why was Kawaii~Chan not invited to the surprise for Y/N~Senpai?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.
“We’re sorry but you are invited to the party and sleepover after school at my house for Y/N,” Aphmau replied soothingly.
“YAY! Kawaii~Chan already knows it’s going to be fun!”
People started streaming into the school, and we dispersed to our homeroom classes. Katelyn, Aaron, and I were in the same class, so we sat together.
“Y/N are you going to the start of school dance in two weeks?” Katelyn asked.
“Maybe if someone asks me, but that’s unlikely. I would still be happy to go with some friends though,” I responded. I quickly glanced at Aaron and then back at Katelyn. “What about you?”
“I don’t know, I think I might ask Travis if he wants to go with me.” She shrugged. Aaron and I exchanged a smile.
“Oo~, someone’s got a crush~.” We both laughed while Katelyn glared playfully.
*I love his laugh.*
*No more thinking like that.*
*But I am you and you are me.*
*But I thought we knew he is never- Never gonna like us like that yeah, yeah. But we don't have to stop liking him.*
I was pulled back to reality by the announcement over the speakers calling everyone involved in club setups to the track field. Katelyn and I stood up and started walking towards the field. When we arrived, we split off, and I began setting up for my club.

Everyone reconvened at Aphmau’s house, settling back into the living room with Kawaii~Chan.
“So the game is Dare or Heaven. You get a dare and if you don’t wanna do that dare then you spin the bottle and play seven minutes in heaven with that person,” I explained. Aphmau, Kawaii~Chan, and Garroth giggled with anticipation.
“Well, let’s get to the game. Garroth you wanna go first?” I asked.
“Sure,” he said, staring intently at me. “OK, Y/N, your dare is kiss Laurance on the lips.” Laurance and I both flushed a bright pink.
“Well, either way, I have to kiss someone but no offense Laurance. I don’t wanna kiss you.” I spun the bottle.
*You know who you wanna kiss, Y/N.*
*Shut up! If I wanna kiss him-*
*Then I wanna kiss him because-*
*I am you and you are me.*
Everyone gasped as the bottle landed on Aaron. His face was as red as mine.
*Well looks like we got our wish.*
*But not the way I wanted! I wanted me and Aaron kissing to mean something-*
*And not for it to just be because of a dare or something.*
*Why did I suggest this game?*
*Because you are you.*
*Yeah, and you are me too.*
“Hello? Y/N? You gotta do the seven minutes in heaven with Aaron,” Garroth said, pulling me back to reality.
“Uh, d-do I have to?” I stammered, letting my nerves get the best of me.
“Yeah, no offense Y/N but I-i just don’t wanna kiss anyone,” Aaron quickly stated, his voice laced with embarrassment.
“Yes, you have to! Come on, Y/N, it was your idea to play this game!” Katelyn practically shouted. Suddenly Garroth and Laurance scooped me up and shoved me into the empty coat closet, while everyone else pushed Aaron in after me.

A/N hi! This is my first time writing a fanfic so I hope you enjoy. I will update this of my own free time so please do not pressure me to update! A lot of other writers get comments pressuring them and I don't know how they handle that stress. I for one can not handle stress so yeah don't comment things pressuring me.
