When they were both inside the trap thinking of a way to get out suddenly a strange gas was released.
Skylar's world went dark as the gas took hold. She felt herself fainting, but couldn't move to break her fall. Liam was beside her, his eyes wide with fear covering his nose. And soon liam also inhaled the gas cause he couldn't handle it longer and they both fainted.
When they came to their senses, they found themselves in a cage, surrounded by the cold, sterile walls of a lab. Skylar's head spun as she struggled to sit up.
Liam was beside her, his eyes scanning their surroundings.
"Where are we?" Skylar whispered.
Liam shook his head.
"I don't know," he said. "But I think we're in some kind of lab."
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Kaidos who was the boss of an evil organisation named Khaos, his eyes gleaming with intensity.
"Welcome, Liam and Skylar," Kaidos said. "I see you're awake. Excellent."
Skylar shouted "Who are you and how do you know our names??".
Kaidos replied "Well my bad, let me introduce my self I am kaidos the lead organisation named khaos. Actually I am very well known for having information about others afterall I have great spies all over the places."
Liam looked shock at first and then showed him a note "Are you the one who called me here?"
Kaidos smirked "Yes, yes I remember writing that for you because I have work with you."
Skylar's instincts screamed at her to be cautious. There was something unsettling about Kaidos's demeanor.
"What do you want from us?" Skylar demanded.
Kaidos smiled, a cold, calculating glint in his eye.
"The truth is, Liam, you have something which can help me change the world," Kaidos said, his voice dripping with malice. "And we're going to force you to hand it over...whether you like it or not."
Liam's eyes narrowed.
"What are you talking about?" he growled.
Kaidos chuckled, the sound sending shivers down Skylar's spine.
"You are just too decent to know how valuable that thing is that your carrying around and as for you skylar I wasn't expecting you to be here too but there is also something about you that you don't know about yourself" kaidos smirked.
Skylar and liam both widened there eyes upon hearing this.
Just as Kaidos was about to reveal more, a commotion erupted outside the lab. Shouts and footsteps echoed through the corridors, growing louder by the second.
Kaidos's expression turned ugly.
"No," he muttered. "It can't be."
A dark-hooded figure burst into the lab, taking down Kaidos's guards with swift efficiency.
"Liam, Skylar!" the figure shouted, beckoning them to follow. "We have to get out of here, now!" As the mysterious guy hit the button to unlock the cell.
Skylar's heart racing, she scrambled to her feet, Liam beside her.
As they sprinted through the corridors, Skylar caught glimpses of the hooded figure's skills...and wondered who he was.
They finally reached the exit, but to their surprise, they found themselves facing a treacherous obstacle: a deadly river that flowed with toxic waste.
The hooded figure turned to them, his eyes gleaming with determination.
"We have to cross this river to reach the warehouse," he said. "It's our only hope."
Liam's eyes widened.
"But how?" he asked. "The river is toxic."
The hooded figure smiled.
"I've got a plan," he said. "Just trust me."
Skylar hesitated, unsure if she could trust this mysterious figure. But Liam nodded, his eyes locked on the figure.
"After all he only looked a few years older than them" both of them thought.
"Let's do it," he said.
The figure nodded, leading them to a small boat hidden behind a nearby dumpster.
As they climbed aboard, Skylar felt a surge of fear. The river was swirling with toxic waste, and the smell was overpowering.
But the hooded figure expertly navigated the boat, dodging floating debris and toxic sludge.
Finally, they reached the other side, gasping with relief as they stumbled onto dry land.
The hooded figure turned to them, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
"We made it," he said. "Now let's get to the warehouse."
As they followed him, Skylar caught glimpses of the warehouse in the distance. It was a towering structure, surrounded by barbed wire and surveillance cameras.
But the hooded figure led them through a secret entrance, and they found themselves in a dimly lit room filled with high-tech gadgets.
Skylar's eyes widened as she took in the scope of their surroundings.
"Where are we?" she asked, turning to the hooded figure.
The figure finally stopped in front of them, pulling off his hood to reveal a messy mop of black hair.
Liam's eyes narrowed.
"Who are you?" he demanded.
The figure smiled, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"All in good time, Liam," he said. "For now, let's just focus on getting you two to safety."
Skylar's curiosity was piqued.
"What's going on?" she asked. "Why did you rescue us?"
The figure's expression turned serious.
"You two are in grave danger," he said. "Khaos will stop at nothing to capture you."
Liam's eyes flashed with anger.
"Why?" he demanded.
The figure hesitated, glancing around the warehouse before responding.
"That's a story for another time, Liam," he said. "For now, let's just focus on survival."
Skylar felt a surge of frustration. She had so many questions, but the hooded figure seemed reluctant to answer them.
Liam's eyes locked on the figure.
"I want answers," he said, his voice firm.
The figure hesitated, glancing around the warehouse before responding.
"I'll give you answers, Liam," he said. "But first, we need to get you two settled. You're safe here, for now."
Skylar's eyes scanned the warehouse, taking in the rows of computers and surveillance monitors. It looked like some kind of high-tech hideout.
But who was this mysterious figure, and what did he want from them?
