“Shut up! He’s mine!”
“Go to hell, Taehyung! Jin will *never* be yours. You’re too much of a dumbfuck!” Jungkook spat, his voice laced with fury.
“Let me break it to you two idiots gently. I am not yours, Taehyung, nor will I be yours, Jungkook. *Ever*. So you can both go fuck yourselves. Kim Seokjin only loves himself.”
The two men glared at Jin, disbelief etched on their faces.
“Please, Jin! Just choose me and tell Jungkook to fuck off. I know you want me,” Taehyung pleaded, leaning in close. His long fingers traced the sharp line of Jin’s jaw, a calculated seduction.
“Ew! Don’t touch me, you asswipe! I can’t wait to graduate so I can be rid of you two idiots!” Jin recoiled, disgust evident in his voice.
He turned on his heel, walking away with a frustrated huff. One more week. One more week until graduation, until business school, until blessed freedom from these relentless, unwanted advances.
Three months later…
Jin was walking toward the campus café when he felt hands snake around his waist. He spun around, ready to deliver a swift retort to his attacker. Instead, he screamed in annoyance. *Not again*.
“Taehyung? What are you doing here?”
Taehyung shrugged, a smug grin playing on his lips. “I go to school here too.”
“Fuck my life! Of all the colleges in the world… why? Why, God? Do you hate me this much?” Jin looked up at the sky, addressing an unseen deity.
Taehyung rubbed the back of his head, confused. Jin often spoke to an invisible audience, and Taehyung was never sure if it was an act or a genuine delusion.
Jin caught the expression on Taehyung’s face and facepalmed. He walked away quickly, only to be cornered moments later by Jeon Jungkook. Could his day get any worse?
“Please don’t tell me you’re also at this school?”
Jungkook nodded enthusiastically, his eyes sparkling with hope. Jin groaned in irritation. He hated his life. For the entirety of his schooling, these two had relentlessly pursued him, demanding his attention, his affection. Now, he was facing four more years of their maddening insanity.
He continued walking, ignoring Jungkook’s pleas. His life was a disaster.
Another time skip…
It was Jin’s first day on the job. After graduating with honors in Advertising and Marketing, he’d taken a gap year. He needed a reprieve from the suffocating attention of Taehyung and Jungkook.
He’d impressed his recruitment officer during the interview, and now found himself in a small cubicle at Min Group of Companies, ready to embark on a new chapter. He was optimistic, hopeful. This company was one of South Korea’s most prestigious, and Jin felt proud to be a part of it.
“Hi there, I’m Jimin, Park Jimin. It’s so good to meet you,” his next-door neighbor leaned over, introducing himself with a friendly smile. He had a warm, inviting face.
“I’m Kim Seokjin. You can call me Jin. It’s great to meet you, Jimin.” Jin extended his hand, only to feel another hand clasp his.
He looked up in confusion. The hand belonged to Jeon Jungkook.
“Oh no. No fucking way.” He squeaked, all eyes turning toward him. He wanted to disappear.
Just then, the elevator doors opened, and in walked Jung Hoseok, the recruitment officer, followed by Kim Taehyung.
Jin felt his stomach plummet. Would he ever escape them?
“I quit! I refuse to work here!” He blurted out, already frantically packing his belongings.
“Hold on, Seokjin. What’s the problem?” Jung Hoseok asked, concern etched on his face.
Jin stared at the two men who had plagued his existence.
“I’m sorry, sir. I just… lost my head. I’ll get back to work. I apologize for the outburst.”
He slumped back in his chair, burying his face in his hands. Jimin watched him curiously, but didn’t say a word. The day dragged on, and by lunch break, Jin was on the verge of exploding. Taehyung and Jungkook had already attempted to engage him, and Jin was determined to ignore their existence.
“What’s wrong, Jin? You can talk to me, you know,” Jimin smiled gently.
Jin groaned, then proceeded to recount his childhood—and now adult life—with the two relentless tormentors.
Jimin listened sympathetically, rubbing Jin’s back reassuringly.
“It’s okay, Jin. Don’t let it get you down. You know your goals. Just stick to your game plan, and everything will fall into place.”
Jin smiled gratefully. He might have found a genuine friend in Jimin.
“Although, I must say, and don’t take this the wrong way, it’s kind of hot that two gorgeous guys have the hots for you!”
Jin groaned and playfully swatted Jimin’s arm. He had to admit, Taehyung and Jungkook were undeniably attractive.
Jung Hoseok stood outside the coffee station, listening intently to the conversation. He chuckled quietly, anticipating the story he’d share with his boyfriend later. They had an office romance—a love triangle—and Hoseok was thrilled to have fresh material for entertainment.
He rubbed his hands together gleefully, already plotting ways to spice things up.
“Oh, say, Taehyung. Can I speak to you for just a second?”
