The Avengers, along with Peter, were gathered in the Avengers Tower for a meeting Tony had called. Most assumed it would be another minor issue inflated by Tony’s dramatic tendencies. As they were all currently living in his building rent-free, they resigned themselves to indulging his theatrics.

“Alright, Avengers, listen up,” Tony declared, entering the room with a folder of files. “I’ve got some news that’s going to blow all your doltish brains away.”

“All right, Stark, this better be good. You interrupted something important,” Steve said, a touch of irritation in his tone. “Don't worry, Capsicle, you can go back to your knitting soon. Now, onto the news. Someone on the team has been keeping a huge secret from us. Anyone want to guess who?” Tony questioned, eyes scanning the room.

“I DIDN’T DO IT!” Clint exclaimed, a little too quickly.

“Do what?” Natasha asked, her voice laced with suspicion.

“Err- nothing. It was a joke,” he stammered, his nervousness evident.

“Hmm. We’ll revisit that, Barton. Just… whatever you broke, stay away from it for now,” Tony sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Silence descended for a few minutes until…

*WHAM!*

Tony slammed the files onto the table. “PARKER!”

Peter, startled from his daydream, jumped. “Y-yes, Mr. Stark?” he asked, rubbing the back of his neck apprehensively.

“Why didn’t you tell us you had a little sister?” Stark interrogated, his gaze unwavering.

“YOU HAVE A WHAT?” came the chorus of surprised shouts from the other heroes.

“W-well, it never came up in conversation,” Peter mumbled, avoiding eye contact.

“Young Parker, why didn’t you ever mention the honour of having a younger sibling like mine?” Thor quizzed, his brow furrowed.

“Thor, your sibling tried to take over the world and nearly killed us all,” Bruce deadpanned. “Yes, *tried*,” he emphasized, his tone laced with sardonic humour.

“Anyway, back to the point. Name: Adeline Parker. Date of birth: October 25th, 2004. Birthplace: Queens, New York. Parents: Deceased. Siblings: Peter Parker,” Tony read off the file. “So, why didn’t you ever say anything?”

“It’s nothing personal. It’s just… me and Addy don’t get along that well. I never wanted her to get mixed up in this world. It’s too dangerous for her,” Peter explained, his voice laced with anxiety.

“Well, as adorably sickening as that is, we’re still meeting her. Invite her over to dinner tomorrow night,” Tony ordered, his tone leaving no room for argument.

“NO!” Peter yelled, then quickly cleared his throat. “I mean… she’s busy. She has dance and—”

“Peter. Wasn’t asking,” Tony retorted, cutting him off.

“Yeah, ok,” Peter sighed, defeated.

As everyone left the room, Wanda and Pietro placed their hands on Peter’s shoulders. “Don’t worry, it will be fine,” they said, their accents thick.

“Yeah, but you don’t know my sister,” Peter mumbled, already dreading the night to come. He continued to walk out, a knot of apprehension tightening in his chest.
