October 9th

Everyone in BTS is incredibly welcoming, yet Taehyung remains distant. He rarely speaks to me, and I can't decipher the reason. It’s a subtle frustration, a quiet puzzle. Communication is challenging for everyone, but they genuinely try to accommodate my language skills.

Yesterday, I moved to my father’s house in Korea – a temporary arrangement through a friend of his. I desperately want to repay him, but the cost is substantial.

Suddenly, my phone rang, announcing the arrival of the dresses. I needed to inspect them. I’d rushed out, leaving my phone behind. When I returned, the members were gathered in the room, eager to confirm the delivery.

The phone continued to ring incessantly. RM, seeing it, picked it up intending to politely decline, but the call was for me. It was my sister, speaking rapidly in English:

“Sis, you won’t believe this! Mom and Auntie saw Laura holding hands with a boy, and they completely lost it.” “They’re having a massive argument at home right now.”

RM, confused, said, “Wait… wait… I’m not your sister. She’s busy. Call later.”

Suga, curious, asked RM, “What happened?” (In Korean)

RM explained, “Her sister said they’re arguing because someone was holding hands.” (In Korean)

Just then, I entered the room.

RM turned to me, “Oh, your sister called a thousand times. I answered it.”

“Oh,” I replied.

RM chuckled, “She really talks a lot, just like you!”

I laughed along with him. Jin, turning to me, asked in Korean, “Does your family really argue because of seeing someone holding hands?”

“RM, please explain,” I requested.

RM relayed the question, “He asked if people in your country really argue over seeing someone holding hands.”

I stared blankly, shocked. “What… who… whom?!”

Again, my phone rang. I answered, hearing a commotion, and apologized, “Sorry, excuse me.”

Suga scoffed, “Really? People react like this just for seeing someone holding hands? What would their reaction be if they saw someone kissing?!” (In Korean)

Jungkook, with a wry grin, said, “So conservative.” (In Korean)

RM shrugged, “God knows.” (In Korean)

Taehyung listened politely, his expression unreadable.

After finishing the remaining tasks, I headed home.

October 10th

Taehyung had been acting strangely, and Jimin noticed he was concealing something. Jimin and RM arrived late to the studio that day because of it.

Unaware of this, Taehyung brought a scrapbook to the studio – one he’d made for Jimin’s birthday. Half an hour later, Taehyung slipped away to hide the scrapbook in a room. I was there, and he didn’t realize it. When he saw me, he froze, speechless for a moment. Then, he pleaded:

“Please, please… don’t tell anyone about this.”

I nodded silently.

I met his gaze, and he met mine. He looked at my face, then his eyes drifted to my lips, distracted.

Suddenly, Jimin’s laughter echoed from the hallway. Taehyung snapped back to reality, resuming whatever he had been doing.

That’s all for today. If you're interested in the next installment, the next page of this diary will appear day after tomorrow at the same time. Thank you for your love and support.
