Soonyoung sat down on the swivel chair, letting his weight rest back on its backrest. His eyes were greeted with the silver ceiling. It was still dark outside. He intentionally came to the office earlier than usual as his mind was disturbed for being at home.
He still can't get over how his little sister going to be someone else's this weekend. It is not like he didn't want to let her go but the thought of her marrying to a stranger and live in the same house is enough to mess up his mind.
What if that guy is not a good guy?
What if that guy is not capable to take care of Soonhee as much as he did?
What if that guy is actually an abuser?
and more 'what if' kept running around every inch of his mind.
Soonhee is his one and only siblings. It makes sense why Soonyoung having a hard time to let her get married.
At least he wants her to get married with someone she loves. Someone that is capable of giving her the affection and love she deserves. Not with a stranger.
A click from the door making him jerk his head up to the door, showing his secretary " oh, sorry. I thought you are not here yet " she bowed lightly.
" It's okay. What brings you here, Arin? You are oddly early today "
She chuckled " early? It is already 7, sir "
Soonyoung frowned and looked at the watch that was wrapped around his wrist.
7:05 a.m.
He let out a sigh. Didn't know 40 minutes going to be passed by just like that. Soonyoung looked back to Arin and nodded " Yeah, sorry. I was drowned in thought. Do you need anything to be signed, Ms. Shin? " immediately turned the formal action on.
Arin walked deeper into his office as her heels clacked on the wooden floor " Nope, I was told to give you this " she uttered, placing a white envelope on top of the files on his desk.
" The sender? " He questioned, picking the envelope in his hand
Arin drew a smile as she tilted her head lovingly " Ms. Kwon Hwiyoung "
Soonyoung furrowed his eyebrows as he examined the envelope.
Why didn't her mum give it to him by herself?

" Okay, you may go now " Soonyoung uttered, not caring to spare a glance on her.
Arin nodded her head. Before she could turned away, Soonyoung called her again " Ms. Shin "
" Yes? "
" What is my schedule for today? "
" Meeting with the president of RY Hotel, at our meeting room on 10 a.m. and that is all for today "
Soonyoung nodded " Please remind me again 30 minutes before the meeting starts " he ordered
Arin widened her already wide smile and nodded " Yes, I will "
" Thank you "
Arin then whirled around, walking out of his office. Soonyoung then ripped the top of the envelope, pulling the paper out of its cover. He unfolded the A4 paper and trailed his eyes on the sentences that were type across the white paper.
" What the... "
" What the hell? " She shrieked. Hana groaned as she stomped all her way to his office. Echoing the clacking sound across the level.
" Park Jihoon " she called, swinging the door open.
" Mr. Park, please. We are at office " Jihoon answered nonchalantly, unbothered to look at her as he continued to examine the document on his desk.
Hana rolled her eyes and threw a paper with an envelope on the document that he had been reading. Which succeed in averting his attention to her.
Jihoon took the letter in his hand and read its content, nodding and putting it back on the desk.
Jihoon then trailed his eyes to the furious woman in front of him, putting on an expressionless face " Why? "
Hana scoffed in disbelief with her eyes rolled backward and placed her right hand on her hips " Why? " She questioned back " You asked me why? "
" You are the one who agreed with this "
" Since when did I agree to step down from the vice president position and become their secretary? "
Jihoon sighed and pushing the letter off the document, laid back to the backrest " Since you signed the collaboration contract "
Hana snapped her head to him and frowned " Huh? "
With his head hanging low as he was scanning the file, he shot up his eyes and sighed again " The collaboration contract has stated that Serenity Inn's vice president will be transferred here and you will be assigned as her secretary. Don't you read? "
Seeing she was numb in words, Jihoon let out another heavy sigh " Then, that is your fault, Ms, Kim " Jihoon said cynically. Hana twisted her lower lips between her teeth " So you are taking your future wife's side now? "
Jihoon slammed the document close and threw it on the desk, causing the room echoed with the slamming sound as Hana flinched " You know it very damn well that I am not the one who brings personal matters in the office. Plus, you are the one who didn't read the contract thoroughly yet you are putting the blame on me? "
Hana tched under her breathe as she twisted her eyeballs inward " whatever " she then stomped her way to the door, making her way out of the office. Before she could reach the door handle, Jihoon called " Hana "
Hana whirled around " What? " she shrieked, still putting the dissatisfaction expression her face.
Jihoon's lips curved into a smile, showing the crescent-shape like eyes " Let us get a lunch together. I will make it out for you "
Soonyoung stared at her sister who has her eyes at the computer. He dumped himself on the couch before he got his leg crossed " Is marrying him not enough for you? "
Soonhee pressed each key on the keyboard to key in the necessary data as she said " You are the one who signed the contract, Soon. And we did discuss this before we both signed it, right? So you are okay with it "
" Before the marriage announcement, yes I'm okay. But after that ridiculous announcement, I don't think that I am okay with it " Soonyoung shook his head in denial.
The keyboard sounds stopped as Soonhee laid back to the backrest of her swivel chair. She stared at her brother blankly.
Honestly speaking, she is too tired to argue with her brother about this stupid wedding. She then clamped her eyes shut and took a deep breath.
As she exhaled, she opened her eyes.
" Why are you making fuss of it? "
A question was dropped, Soonyoung's heart skipped a beat. His back jerked up as he uncrossed his leg in disbelief " you thought I was making a fuss about it? " He questioned back.
Soonhee gulped her saliva hard. The sudden change in her brother made her realize she had taken the wrong step. She noticed the tense that crept up in his eyes but still wanted to fight back " If it wasn't, then what it is? ”
Soonyoung brought his head down and scoffed in disbelief. He looked back at his little sister as his smile dropped " I had a sleepless night after the marriage announcement because I am too worried. What if he hurts you? What if he can't give you the affection you need since I know how spoiled brat you are yet you are saying I was making a fuss of it? " He questioned again.
His tone was soft but everyone could hear how hurt he was.
" I- "
" Whatever " He dropped a word, getting up from the couch as he stuffed his right hand into the pocket " Just do whatever you want. I don't care anymore " Soonyoung made his way out of Soonhee's office.
As if her mouth was locked, she couldn't utter any words as she realized he was mad. She watched his back before Soonyoung suddenly turned around " Oh ya "
" I just wanted to inform you, I will not come to your wedding nor walk you down the aisle "
