The Portal Master knew that he needed an air Skylander to get the external source, so he picked Warnado for the mission, and grabbed Zook for a little backup. The two Skylanders traveled through the portal until they arrived at the ruins.
Flynn:
Okay, engine's installed. Ready to go get this Eternal Air......uh......whatchamacallit?
Warnado:
The Eternal Air Source, and yes, we're ready.
They then get into the balloon and take off to get the Eternal Air Source. They began to approach their destination, the Stormy Stronghold.
Flynn struggled to navigate through the storm due to how strong it was. Luckily, had his incredible propeller and was able to fight up to the docks.
Flynn:
Okay, you two go get it. I'll circle around this tornado and pick you up when you get it.
Zook:
We got this.
Zook and Warnado traveled through the stronghold to try and shut down this storm. They found a gate that was locked and guarded by two drow spearmen. Warnado runs to grab the key while Zook uses his bazooka to fire on the drow and take them out in one hit. Warnado comes back with the key and opens it up. Unfortunately, as soon as they entered there was a battalion of drow waiting for them, luckily, two Skylanders could handle those types of enemies. They also saw that there was a life elemental gate right next to them. Zook decided to clear his head by going through the life elemental gate. Zook managed to get the loot and escaped the spot.
Warnado:
Good news is that while you were clearing your head, I found us a way to shut down that tornado!
Zook:
Sounds great! How do we do it?
Warnado:
We just need to turn off those spires and it will turn off!
Zook:
Incredible idea!
They run to the first Spire and meet about five drow spearmen, and two drow witches. They then run in to start a fight with the drow. Zook starts to use his bazooka to fight them while Warnado took them out with his tornado ability. The drow then dropped down and Warnado went up to the first spire. The spire is turned down and the tornado begins to calm down a little. They run over to the next spire and saw two air spell punks and a drow Goliath guarding it. Warnado went in on the spell punks while Zook was managing to hold back the Goliath. Zook fires his bazooka and the Goliath goes flying off the edge while Warnado manages to destroy both spell punks. They then turn down the spire and are only two spires away from getting into the stronghold. They see a few drow spearmen and witches guarding the third spire, along with an air elemental gate. Zook fires a rocket that hits the drow and gets their attention as Warnado finishes them with a tornado attack.
Warnado:
You turn down the spire, it's my turn to go clear my head.
Zook:
On it.
Warnado takes a quick detour through the elemental gate and does the puzzle for a second. He finishes and realizes that he got the goods. Warnado leaves and goes with Zook to the final spire, guarded by two drow Goliaths. The Skylanders each take down one Goliath, Zook takes out his bazooka and uses it to hit them both, Warnado then creates a tornado that spins them around. Zook fires another rocket and they both fall over the edge. The spire is then spun down and the strong completely comes back together.
Warnado:
Okay, now's our chance to get the Eternal Air Source!
Zook:
I'm right behind you.
They run onto the bridge and see and Windbag Djinni guarding their path. He starts spinning to keep them out when they attack. Warnado sends a tornado his direction and he dissolves in mid-air. They run up the path to get to the eternal source that they needed. They unfortunately had a few enemies blocking their way but soon made it to the top. There, they saw a football-sized, egg-shaped, sky-blue orb with a tornado inside of it. Unfortunately it was guarded by six drow spearmen, four drow witches, three drow Goliaths, two air spell punks and a windbag djinni. They new whoever, that these were the last enemies they needed to fight before getting the Eternal Air Source.
They run into battle and begin to fight the remaining enemies. Zook is seen shooting a rocket directly into two drow spearmen while Warnado uses a tornado that knocks a drow witch straight off the tower. Zook then shoots a rocket but it is blocked by the air spell punk's magic. Warnado then tackles one Spell punk while Zook manages to blast two Goliaths off the tower and the last straight into the wall. Warnado destroys both the spell punks and Zook fires the last of the drow into next week. They then come face to face with the last enemy, the windbag djinni. They charge attacks but the djinni is surprisingly agile for them. Warnado then makes other tornadoes appear and surround it while Zook shoots a rocket straight into it. Warnado then summons one last tornado and it gets destroyed. They now are able to retrieve the Eternal Air Source without any more fights. Zook walks up to get it before Warnado stops him.
Warnado:
Don't you remember what they said? If you touch, it could become unstable. Here, I'll grab it.
The Eternal Air Source then comes floating down and Warnado grabs it in his claws. Flynn shows up, looking like he was in really bad shape, and noticing that they got what they were after.
Flynn:
We got it!
Warnado:
No, we got it, you did not!
Flynn:
Ah details, now come on let's get back.
Zook gets into the balloon first and Warnado comes in, still keeping a firm grasp on the Eternal Air Source. They then returned and found that everyone had been waiting for them. Warnado walks over to the crater and noticed that the Eternal Air Source was glowing brighter than it had before. He let's it go and it floats over to the crater. The orb then dissolves and the tornado spins around the center and some rocks from the ruins start to fill in the crater, with a tiny gap in the bottom. Some rocks then take the shape of two odd eggs with legs and holes in the front, that stand on either side. The tornado then sinks into the circle and they see that it worked.
Meanwhile, in Kaos' floating castle, Kaos sees what happened while the first piece came into place.
Kaos:
Glumshanks, do you see what's happening?
Glumshanks:
Well sir, it would appear that they have found the Eternal Air Source.
Kaos:
I know they found the Eternal Air Source. I want to know what is going on.
Glumshanks:
Well it looks like they are rebuilding the Core of Light!
Kaos:
No, I worked hard to destroy it, we must keep the Skylanders from getting the other Eternal Sources and show that new portal master what happened to Eon.
Back at the ruins, Hugo was congratulating them on what happened.
Hugo:
You did it, we now have the Eternal Air Source, next on the list is water.
Zook:
Where's that?
Hugo:
No so fast, we aren't the ancients, we can't harness it's power without the Twin Spouts of Ocea-Major-Minor. Unfortunately the Far Viewer only shows us Eternal Sources.
Warnado:
Well their might be help down their.
They go bellow deck and see a Gillman in a cage with and odd lock.
Gurglefin:
Hey, I need help, I need you to help me out of this cage.
The Skylanders then solve the puzzle and get Gurglefin out. He steps out and tells them what happened.
Gurglefin:
Quickly, I need help saving my island. It was taken over by trolls.
Hugo:
Well we'd love to help. But we have to find.
Gurglefin:
The Twin Spouts of Ocea-Major-Minor? I know where they are but first we have to save my island.
Hugo:
Okay, you two are about to go back but the next Skylanders can help you.
Warnado and Zook then get sucked out of Skylands and back to earth.
