“Y/n,” a voice rasped, a gentle shake against her shoulder.
She groaned, rolling onto her back, stretching an arm overhead. A yawn escaped her lips. “What?” she mumbled, eyes still closed.
“Get dressed and go to work.” Her eyes flickered open, focusing on Mitsunari, his silver-grey hair catching the light, purple eyes intense.
“Mitsunari,” she groaned again, rolling onto her stomach, burying her face in her pillow. “It’s too early. How’d you get in?” Her voice was muffled by the fabric.
“You were drunk last night and gave me your keys. Gemma drove herself to school.” He ruffled her hair, the motion familiar. The sound of the door shutting echoed behind him.
She lifted her head, squinting against the brightness. Loki sat on the edge of the bed, tail thumping rhythmically.
“I always wonder if you blink during sleep,” she murmured, looking down at him. His tongue lolled out.
She rose and headed for the bathroom, enjoying a quick shower, then dressed in a new outfit. (She glanced at her phone to review the picture she'd sent to her friend.)
Stepping into the kitchen, she found Mariko seated beside Mitsunari, plates of breakfast laid out. Sasuke, with his brunette hair and hazel eyes, was already there. Tadashi, blond hair and emerald eyes, berated him.
“Oi, Sasuke! Wash your hands!”
“Tadashi, lower your voice,” Mitsunari scolded.
“Why are you all here?” Y/n asked, settling onto a stool as Loki munched on his dog food, attended by Kaneki, with orange hair and emerald eyes.
“Don’t shout early in the morning,” Kaneki said, unbothered.
“Morning, Kaneki,” she responded, her tone flat.
“Y/n already had a noise complaint yesterday. She might get evicted,” Kaneki stated, standing and brushing past her, ruffling her hair.
“Get out,” she muttered, grabbing a bowl of cereal and spoon, and started eating.
“There’s going to be a meeting with another company,” Mariko said, taking a bite of her sandwich.
“What meeting? Who?” she asked, stirring her cereal with the spoon.
“We don’t know. We’ll just have to see,” Sasuke said, drinking water.
She sighed and put down her spoon. “You used my food in my apartment.” She glared at Mitsunari.
“We live below you and basically you’re the one who always forages our fridge,” Mariko retorted.
She scoffed and turned to leave, Loki following close behind. She shut the door behind her and headed to her bed, sinking down. She grabbed her laptop and it immediately booted to a dark web site.
She slipped on her headphones and watched the stream: a girl tied to a chair.
“Okay, I can’t just dismember her immediately, that would be boring,” a man on the screen said.
An idea sparked. She typed in the chat.
“Oh come on, your guys are all sick psychopaths here, or else you wouldn’t be here,” she wrote.
She pressed enter.
“Chop off her fingers bit by bit? That’s actually a good idea,” the man replied. He walked behind the girl, grabbing a huge kitchen knife.
“No, no, no, no, please!” The girl cried.
She rolled her eyes and typed again. The man walked back to his laptop when he heard a ding from her comment.
“Pierce her lips and tongue together to shut her up? Right away, you’re on a roll today. What’s your name?” He sharpened the knife, looking at her.
“Vendetta. That’s a perfect name for you,” she typed, earning a like from the man. 1.2K likes flooded in from others.
“Anyways,” he turned back to the girl. “I’ll pierce your mouth later. Right now, the dogs are hungry.” He stretched the girl’s fingers out, and a dog barked.
“Please!” The girl screamed.
Loki jumped onto her laptop, closing it shut.
“Loki!” She pushed him away lightly and reopened the laptop, but the stream was gone. She searched, but it was nowhere to be found.
“Ugh,” she pushed her laptop away, Loki placing his paws on her thighs. She sighed, scratching his head.
“You did the right thing, bud,” she murmured as he licked her wrist. She kissed the top of his head.

“Y/n!” A girl whined, as the printer continued to churn out pages.
“Why are you here, Gemma?” she asked, turning to her.
“I have a free period. You said you’d give back my phone.” She rolled her eyes and sighed.
She looked down at the 18-year-old teenager, her dark blue eyes desperate. Vylad stood in the hallway.
“I’ll give it to you later. I’m busy, I have a meeting in ten minutes,” she grabbed a paper and walked away.
“You said that last time!” Gemma shouted. She groaned loudly, turning to her. “It’s in the fucking drawer. Now just drive yourself to school! Please! Damn!”
“Fine!” Gemma shouted.
“Fine!” she shouted back.
Gemma stormed off. She held in her anger, turning to Vylad, who stood before her.
“For God’s sake, why are you here?” she demanded.
“I’m here for work. Your sister?” he asked.
“I just want to rip out her goddamn tongue,” she said, approaching Mitsunari and Rowan.
“Here’s your fuckin’ paper,” she said, handing it over.
“Deep breaths,” Mitsunari said, taking the paper.
“I need to see someone choke to death,” she gritted her teeth.
He handed her her binders. “Will you at least calm down?” Rowan asked.
“My mental illness isn’t getting better, and you’re not helping,” she said, taking the binders back.
She walked away, passing Vylad and Gene, who was surprisingly here too. Cat blocked her path.
“Y/n, uh, you left this yesterday,” she offered her journal.
She took it. “Thank you,” she said politely, keeping her anger in check.
She moved, but Cat blocked her way again.
“How did you end up in there?” she asked.
“You don’t need to know,” she said.
“Just answer me and I’ll leave you alone,” Cat said.
“It’s on the fucking drawer,” she said.
“Let go,” she turned her head to her with a death glare.
“Just answer me and I’ll leave you alone,” she said.
“No, no, no, no, please!” The girl cries.
“Why?” she asked.
“That’s the point,” she said as she tried to take back her hand by when grips harder.
“I just want my answer,” she said.
“You might wanna let go, now,” she said as she clench her hand into a fist.
She can tell the others are looking at me.
“Or what?” She asked.
“You don’t wanna know,” she said as she think about slowly turning her head and break her neck in the end.
“Well I do,” she said.
“You wanted this,” she said as she yank my hand away and pin her to the wall, I grab her neck and put pressure.
“I’m not in a good mood, if we aren’t here right now, I can watch you slowly suffocate and I will not regret it at all, no matter how long it will take or how strong you struggle, I’ve killed someone before and I will not hesitate to do it again, meaning I can kill you and I will kill you whenever I have the chance, it’ll just satisfy me to see you suffer and get tortured none stop, better, I’ll just take all my anger out on you as you scream in pain” she gasp for air as I put more pressure.
“Y/n!” I hear Mitsunari call.
I let go and push her to the floor as she gasp for air.
I walk away.
“Your just lucky!” I shout.
I turn a corner and head to my table, I sit down as I see the picture of Cole, Gemma and I slam it down and flip through the pages of the file I was given.
“Hey”
