We finished dinner and said goodbye to our new friends, leaving Billie with us.

“You girls ready to go?” my mom asked.

“Yup,” I replied.

“Sounds good,” Billie said, smiling at me.

She was breathtaking. I desperately wanted to tell her how I felt, but it felt too soon. We’d only met today, yet it felt like I was already falling for her.

As we walked towards my house, Billie kept her gaze fixed on me. I started to blush, instinctively looking away, convinced she hadn’t noticed.

“So, do you wanna go up to my room?” I asked, trying to sound casual.

“Sure,” she said, her smile radiant.

I couldn’t get over how beautiful her smile was. The way the corners of her mouth curved, and her nose crinkled just a little – it was adorable.

We climbed the stairs. “Shit,” I thought, remembering the mess I’d left in my room. I hadn’t expected her to come over.

“Sorry about the mess,” I said, forcing an awkward laugh.

“It’s fine, love,” she said, then blushed and glanced at the floor. “I don’t know why I said that,” she added with a self-conscious chuckle.

“It’s okay… love,” I echoed, locking eyes with her.

We both sat down on my bed, and for a moment, it felt like time stopped. We just stared at each other, lost in the moment.

“So, what do you want to do?” she asked, breaking the silence.

“Want to watch a movie?” I offered, unsure of what else to say.

“Sure,” she said. “Can we watch a scary one?” Billie asked, her eyes sparkling.

“Yes! I love scary movies,” I replied enthusiastically.

She picked a random film, one I didn’t even recognize. Twenty minutes in, we somehow found ourselves cuddling near the top of the bed.

She was lying down while I sat next to her, my arm wrapped around her neck. Happiness washed over me.

I bit my lip as I glanced down at her. She was laughing at a character’s expression on the screen, and she looked utterly adorable.

“Hey Y/N,” she said softly.

“Yeah, Billie?” I asked.

“This might be a bad time, but I think I like you,” she blurted out, then sat up to face me, her gaze intense.

“I like you too,” I confessed, smiling before my cheeks flushed crimson.

“I-I’m sorry if I rushed it, but I just feel so connected to you, even though we just met—” she stammered, her eyes locked on mine.

I cut her off with a kiss.

“I-I’m sorry if that was too early—” I blurted out, then she kissed me back, deepening the connection.

I smiled, unable to look away. It felt as if I’d known her for years. I never wanted her to leave my side.

“Y/N, would you come on our family trip to Hawaii next week?” she asked.

I was stunned. I’d dreamed of going to Hawaii since I was a child. It would mean the world to me.

“If my mom says yes… I’m all in,” I said excitedly.

“My mom actually texted me earlier asking if you wanted to. She knew we were hitting it off well,” she said with a smile.

I yawned.

“You tired, mamas?” she asked playfully.

“A little,” I replied with a smile.

“Let’s get some sleep then,” she said.

I reached to turn off the light when I realized something. Billie hadn’t brought clothes from her house.

“Hey, it’s too late to go back for clothes, right? Do you wanna borrow some of mine?” I asked.

“Sure,” she said, smiling.

I grabbed a shirt and shorts for her.

“I don’t wanna wake your mom up by going to the bathroom, so can I just change here?” she asked.

“Yeah, sure,” I said calmly, but inside, my mind was racing. She was changing in front of me. I was losing my grip on reality.

“Just don’t look,” she said with a playful giggle.

She slipped off her shorts and put on mine, then changed her shirt. I couldn’t help but watch, even for a moment. It was Billie, after all.

She came back to the bed and settled in.

“Come here,” she said, gesturing for me to rest my head on her chest.

“Goodnight,” I said softly.

“Goodnight, love,” she replied.

I felt so comfortable, wrapped in her arms. It felt like fate. I’d never felt this close to anyone so quickly, but it was perfect. I closed my eyes, drifting towards sleep.

“By the way, I saw you watching me. It was hot,” she whispered.

I laughed softly, then fell asleep in her arms. I knew she was the one. I couldn’t wait to go to Hawaii in a week with this beautiful woman by my side.
