The living room felt strangely small after explaining everything to Aphmau about my twin sister. The weight of the secret lifted, replaced by a nervous energy as Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan entered the house.
“Hey Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan,” I said, noticing Y/N stifling a giggle after our conversation.
“Hey Aaron,” Katelyn began, glancing at Y/N with curiosity.
“Oh hi! I’m Y/N!” Y/N said, rising to shake their hands.
“Hi Y/N~Sama!” Kawaii~Chan chirped, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm. “Kawaii~Chan was just heading down to the basement. Kawaii~Chan will be back!” And with a flurry of pink, she disappeared.
“Hi. I’m Katelyn, and the meif’wa who just went downstairs is Kawaii~Chan, if you haven't noticed,” Katelyn said, a wry smile playing on her lips.
“Hi. I’m guessing Kawaii~Chan ships a lot of people,” Y/N said, her E/C eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Yup,” I confirmed, suppressing a grin.
“Aaron…” Y/N whined playfully.
“Whaaaat?” I retorted, anticipating her request.
“I want some chocolate!” she declared, her H/C hair bouncing with excitement.
“Chocolate? Really, Y/N?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Actually… I need a ship name,” she admitted, giggling as I facepalmed.
“For who?” I asked, already bracing myself.
“No one!” she insisted, her laughter infectious.
“Oh no… please don’t tell me you’re shipping me with someone,” I groaned.
“Haha. Yup. That’s what I need a ship name for,” she confirmed, her eyes twinkling. “Oh hey Kawaii~Chan! I need help.” She bounded toward Kawaii~Chan, launching into a detailed discussion while I started discussing with Aphmau and Katelyn about throwing a pool party at their house—a perfect opportunity for Y/N to meet all of our friends. The prospect of introducing her to the group, and watching her navigate the chaos, warmed me from the inside out.
